Taking 4 different brands of pellets, testing them for hardness, then bending some skirts and testing for accuracy. Does a bent skirt really make such a big difference? QYS, HN, H&N, JSB and JTS pellets.

One thing I've found is that a pellet resizer is a godsend. It reforms damaged skirts really well and I got better accuracy with pellets that I resized than the best ones out of the tin. My fx wildcat likes them resized to 4.50mm, but I have 4.53 down to 4.50 and different guns seem to like slightly different skirt sizes. They cost less than the price of a tin of good pellets and save a lot in the long run in terms of reclaiming pellets I would have discarded.

I devised a testing protocol for testing pellet softness that wasn't as "non-scientific", but more repeatable. Let me know if you'd like to discuss.
(PS: most barrels are steel and most pellets are lead. Not much of a chance pellets are going to wear down a barrel. Coat it with lead? Absolutely)

Great to see you back and well done on the HFT comp. Pretty sure H&N lead is very hard, just based on the solid shape of them in the back board behind the my targets... let's see. Cool vid thanks

Get a cheap lee hardness tester, wheel weight hardness of 12 bhn is normally recommended.

I was a JSB and H&N fan, though after trying the QYS I am a convert, the QYS outshine the JSB and the H&N

Have you atke a close lock to the subcaliber of eatch pellets that you have just tested?
The subcaliber is also one of the most important mather to take in consideration, don't you think?
