So sad for these boys that lost their lives in this attack that they did not have to be a part of. Thanks for the interesting, educational video Rob!

As an ex BRITISH ARMY 22 years service man, and being from middlesbrough, Green Howards was the local recruiter. I joined a corps. But yet again another fantastic insight. Please keep up your fantastic work and keep everyone informed ❤❤❤❤

Thank you Rob for another informative video looking at the error that ended in a large number of deaths. It brings these men of the Green Howards back into focus and gives them the remembrance they deserve for their service and bravery. Though 110 years have passed they are not forgotten.

They must have seen what was going on in the initial 15 minutes but still went over. So brave but so sad.

Another great educational video Rob. Imagine having to live with making that order and watching those brave men doing their duty.

Any life lost is a tragedy what makes it even more tragic is that these men weren’t supposed to be there.

Jonathan Chalder Hutchinson, my great uncle is buried in this cemetery. A miner and one of a family of 4 sons and one daughter.

My great grandmother said that on 1st July 1916 she was at home in the morning and at about 10 a.m. she heard the back gate slam shut. At that moment she knew in her heart that Jonathan had been killed.

Rest in Peace Jonathan. You are not forgotten.

Hey Rob, how are things?

Good background info about the battle.

Helpful info about the 7th Green Howards.

Yikes how Maj. Kent ordered his troops to enter into the battle. :(

Sad how a company was almost at once wiped out too. Very tragic and horrible.

I appreciate you providing information about some of the soldiers who are buried at the cemetery. I agree - the story is very tragic :(. I don't think I learned much about it, but learned more from this video...

Good video. Take care..

Another very good story. We often used to go to North Yorkshire to visit my wifes cousins who lived in Catterick Village. We went into Richmond a number of times and visited the Green Howard's museum on a couple of occasions. It is well worth going to if you are in the area.
