I've made many videos talking about little things that are easy to miss. But there are a few features that the game just doesn't tell you about. In this video, I got over things that you will only know if you figure them out yourself. From skillpoints that impact books to boosted weapon damage, this video goes over lots of different and hopefully interesting things.

Just a quick clarification on the first entry. When I say stats, I'm talking about the damage output. Not sure why I didn't just say that. But I didn't notice until I'd made the video. To my knowledge, the variation only impacts damage output on weapons :)

Also, I was unwell at the time of recording, hence the voice. So, sorry for that!

18: The time it takes to die from an infection reaching 100% without being hit again is EXACTLY SEVEN IN-GAME DAYS.
So literally 7 Days to Die.

If you line up your compass on NSEW the zombies will come straight at you. Otherwise they like to zig zag to you and are harder to hit.
Carry a land claim block with you when looting - use it to block doors and to fight behind - 5000 hit points.
Carry a bucket of water with you so if you get a smell you can dump it on the ground, wash up in the puddle then pick the puddle back up again.
You can grow crops, use an apiary and dew collector indoors if you have 6 blocks of empty space above them.

You can circumvent the 30 block radius limitation for loot respawn if you leave one item in the loot container. When the respawn timer is over just take out the item, close the container and wait a second or two. The container changes to "untouched" and you can loot again. Very useful if you build a base in a T5 poi, you can get a fresh set of loot every 7th day. Just don't take out the item and close the container before the timer is up or it'll reset.

I remember when The Fun Pimps thankfully removed the tree stump bees' ability to infect you. It used to be so annoying to 'farm' tree stumps, especially during the first few days of a playthrough, either to build up a supply of honey or to find honey to cure an infection only to have the bees give you or worsen an existing infection. Now TFP need to lower the spawn rate of Ranchers and Chucks because the spawn rate is excessive. And while they're at it, the speed of chickens needs to be nerfed. Why are chickens as fast as deer and considerably faster than rabbits?

I find dismantalling all chairs in invintory is very useful.

Blue charged zombies also recover very fast from being shocked by a stun baton or electric posts. The blue charged bikers are the fastest zombies in the game and also have the longest reach and attack speed/animation.

I can guarantee Chuck doesn’t wash his hands. Keeping this in mind, it’s not that strange you can get an infection from the rocks he throws.

At least for tear 1 and 2 buried supply’s if you dig a 3 by 3 3 blocks down directly below the flag before starting the quest you can just click the flag and more times than not it will just show up at that bottom level you went to this is because the dirt doesn’t respawn when you start the quest and no zombies will appear till you loot the buried supply’s

This morning I had the loot respawn on a pickup truck as I was breaking down with the wrench. I had looted it earlier and left it there because I didn't have a wrench at that time. That was weird and now I'm curious about Navesgane high school. Don't go in there unless you're loaded for bear.

I think that in the same way as weapons and tools of the same quality vary, armor of the same quality varies as well in regard to the number of armor it gives. Higher armor means more damage reduction from hits.

when u fight zombie with melee weapon and after hit zobie falls it means that it's HP is 50% or lower

Thanks for the tidbits! been playing for years and i knew about the lights that help guide you during quests but had zero idea that they also hint at hidden loot! :D

Make sure when comparing stats on weapons or tools that you remove all modifications for accurate comparison, and in the case of ranged weapons make sure you have the same ammunition loaded
