Making Our RV Look LUXURY on a BUDGET! 🏡 | DIY Tiny Home Makeover

Our RV is looking more and more like a HOME with every project, and this makeover is turning out even better than I imagined! 🥹🏡 We’re taking this older camper and slowly transforming it into our own cozy little luxury tiny home—without spending a fortune!

In today’s RV renovation, we’re finally getting to some of the FUN projects! Freya and I are doing a little decor and accessory shopping to find those finishing touches that make a space feel warm and lived in. Then I’m tackling the girls’ bottom bunks and giving them their own fun, girly space with pink paint, floral stenciling, new bedding, and plenty of personality. 💕🌸

And I’ve been SO excited for this next project… the kitchen backsplash finally arrived! We’re installing it and continuing to add those little details that are making this camper look less and less like an RV.

Of course, we have to look back at where we started too! At the end of today’s video, I’m sharing a before and after of the RV from the day we bought it to where it is NOW, and seeing the difference side-by-side is crazy. 😳 There’s still more we want to do, but it finally feels like our vision is coming together.

I hope this video gives you some inspiration if you’re renovating an RV, camper, tiny home—or just trying to make your own home beautiful on a budget. You definitely don’t have to spend a fortune to completely transform a space!

💗 QUESTION OF THE DAY: What’s your favorite transformation so far—the living room, kitchen, or girls’ bunks? And what would YOU add next?

Thank you so much for watching and following along with this crazy little adventure. We have so much more coming with the RV, our land, and the next chapter for our family, so make sure you’re subscribed so you don’t miss it! 🏡🤎

The girls part is so pretty. I can't wait to see the boys and how they mesh. I pray your neck and back feel better soon.

Looks so cozy! It would be so awesome if Beddy’s could sponsor you! Having the zip up bedding would be such a huge help and back saver for living in the camper! It would keep everyone’s space easy and quick to organize.

The girls bunks turned out so cute!

Quick suggestion for the future. Put up a cheapy shed on the property that backs up to your trailer and get a washer and dryer or just a washer while living there. All that time you'll be away from the property for laundry will add up so fast. Also, when you get your outside area all set up once on site, put your chriatmas tree out there

But is still super cute and you get the satisfaction of knowing “I did that”

Everything looks gorgeous and homey. IDEA: when you get to the land, maybe build a quick outdoor shower first. This will save your RV water etc but I imagine y’all will be getting really dirty clearing/working and this might make it easier inside. Solar heat? Tin garbage can to get warm above shower?

Beddys was my savior when we lived in our camper for 2 years! They are more expensive but with every penny for your sanity 😂

Freya and Athena are sooo cute! I have been watching long before they came. Just precious. ❤

I prayed for you. God is good. Yesterday was rough for me and everyone I knew. Not sure why.

The camper is looking gorgeous! Just a thought. You could look into a combo lock for your camper door. It’s very reasonable around $100-$200. We love ours. And no key to loose!

I really appreciate the way that you share your journey with us. Thank you for making yourself vulnerable because it’s in that vulnerability that I see my own struggles and know I’m not alone. I really pay attention to the words of your songs too. I like the words of the Ephesians marriage. I’m glad you found a husband who values your efforts. I quit work many years ago to raise my kids. It’s the most work I have ever done but the work is pleasant. I make sure to work as many or more hours than my husband hoping he will see the value in what I do. I make the home cozy and welcoming so that when everyone comes home, it feels like an exhale. Unfortunately, my husband wishes I had kept working. He doesn’t understand why I’m so tired everyday because I don’t work outside the home. Oh well, I will keep on working knowing that my Heavenly Father sees the value!

Suggestion use a stencil brush then lightly dab in paint THEN most important you “off load” almost all paint on a paper towel
This will help create crisp stencils.

Learned the difference when shopping for my own. Rv is a motorized camper and a pull behind camper is a travel trailer . That’s the difference.

Its turning out great! I would suggest you spray paint the screen door black. It looks like it is silver/gray and sun bleached. Spraying it black would make it fo with the window trims and help the screen disappear to the eye when you have the door open.

Looks so amazing love everything, so cozy

Quilter's spray adhesive. It allows you to stick the stencil sturdier and more evenly to the wall, and then reposition it. Also, tamp off some of the paint.
Peel and stick is better than tile in a camper, it's lighter weight, and when driving it down the road, or as the camper moves and shifts, it's not going to crack.

I think the main trick when stenciling is ti almost dab off all the paint onto a paper towel before stenciling

@cyndij.5382 3 days ago

The camper is turning out so nice! Your stencil should adhere to the wall securely. Like others have said, use an adhesive spray so the stencil doesn’t bounce, the paint gets under the stencil when it does that, and a lot less paint. Stenciling takes patience. A thin layer, let it dry, don’t move the stencil, to another layer. A hair dryer dries the paint really fast! The kids are going to love their own special spaces!!

for the stencil you want to drybrush it, get one of those firm thick drybrushes and you want it almost empty when you go over the stencil

Give yourself and Bobby a hug pat on the back!!! The RV is looking to warm and cozy. You did the absolute sweetest cozy vibe for both of the girls. I think creativity must be your middle name...just loving everything you are doing❤
