@WTFishBobby: are those shelving units you’re using the industrial “Husky” brand shelving?

I use an air pump and Jehmco box filters for all my tanks.

i like the red pvc piping

Love the closed loop system.  That makes sense.

So I did something very similar for my tank rack.
The rack is 3 tier and holds 12
20 gallon longs so you only see the short sides of the tanks.  Then additional 2 10 gallon fry tanks on a shelf next to it.
Used a smaller piston pump which I have on top of the rack
Attached 3/4” PVC  sorta in a “8” pattern  or picture a big loop with an another pipe through the middle connecting both sides. so I have a horizontal row above each shelf. So my airlines are only 2-3 foot long and tapped off directly above each tank.
Instead of using sponge filters I’m using Matten filters.
My philosophy on was when I build my second stand alone rack (20 10 gallons) next to it and I build it with its own pump also. If I pipe the 2 loops together with a closed ball valve in between. If one pump goes out I can open the valve and back feed the other loop until a new pump comes in. Yes probably won’t be able to run the tanks at the ideal pressure but should buy me time and possibly prevent a catastrophic loss.

I think u should change the air pump. 1 w for 1 liter of air is very efficient

Can u be specific about what the screen part is for making the excess air silent?

Sure. Here is a link to Jehmco, a fish room supply house. Scroll down about 3/4 of the way and you will see a blue box that describes the silencers. They both bleed out excess air as well as quiet down the hiss escaping air would normally make.

Doesn’t look like there is much room between your top two racks. Do you have trouble accessing the tanks on the middle rack?

Your system is more expensive, takes up more space, and you're losing pressure. Plus, if your fittings are silicone-coated, they'll fall off eventually. Your pump is overheating because your tubing is too big. You should put your pump outside, if possible, where there's a cool breeze. and fresh air

That's good, but your red hose is too wide; you're losing a lot of pressure. You could have used a thinner (electrical) tube.
I'm going to do it here too. But I don't want to lose pressure. Did you glue the threads? If so, with what? Thanks from Germany, the land of aquariums.

I wanted to do something like this but I didn’t know I needed to loop it, I mean it’s only 4 display tanks but it would look cleaner where I have the tanks 🥲
