“My entire existence has been politicised by religious institutions, and I do not respect people who want me dead” and cheers to that, Lux !

Omg my mother worked with Ebony for her clothing line so I met her before! She is STUNNING and such a friendly and open person. She would tell us that Tyra was absolutely Tyrannical during her cycle and she ended up suing her for pain and suffering and defamation of character I believe. It’s GOUT inducing girls. I still love Ebony ☺️

The thing that annoys me most about Robin starting to sing mid argument. Was that she started the confrontation, and then wanted to act above it.

Elyse wrote in her book about the "being smarter than the other girls" quote. They asked her "Do you think being smarter than the other girls gives you an advantage" and this was her answer. You have to answer in full sentences, they ask a lot of questions, and especially when you're tired or just want to get done with it, these things happen. This a way for production to make you say things you don't really mean.

I forgot about Ebony's ICONIC eye-roll during the group prayer.

@SarahBent 5 years ago

That was not a prayer. That was Robyn preaching at people she disagreed with.

I feel like the reason the judges KEEP mentioning Elyse’s body is because they love that she’s thin, but feel like they aren’t allowed to say it out loud.

It seems so weird that everyone is like "elyse wants to be a doctor??? why is she here???" when a modelling career is very fleeting in most cases. Elyse could very easily defer medical school for a little while and model if she won the show (or go to school part-time and model as well) and then become a doctor. Life doesn't end at age 30, so it is good that she has as a solid plan for a good job after modelling.

I really liked Elise. Yes she goes a little crazy in that interview room ragging on all of the girls, but it's also kind of a typical introvert response to being trapped in a house with a bunch of extroverts. And I think her issue was that she grew up surrounded by people who put down models or anything like modeling. But despite herself she was interested in it, but she wasn't ready to admit it.
Couldn't like Robin, she was too high and mighty and you should NEVER push your religion on someone else.
And I do think they did Ebony pretty wrong as well.

I love Ebony, wish they weren't so hateful towards her. She is s a strong woman and she wasn't hard or making any face on the runaway. She was just doing a normal face. 🥰Ebony is Queen 👑

Robin literally asking the girls to join a prayer circle in which she asks God to get Ebony and Elise kicked out and for her to win because she's "a good Christian girl" like ummmmmmmmmm wtf

@ertjiesb4158 5 years ago

As a Christian, that prayer circle made me uncomfortable and I would have not participated if I was there.
Robyn over all makes me uncomfortable with the way she is trying to force her religion and views on others.
I also dislike that the 2 were reading their Bibles together while listening to the other girls and calling one over to read a passage. That should be your time to communicate with God, to be contemplative and to find guidance or a message for your day. It should not be something you advertise or show off to show what a good Christian you are. Others should see your religion in your everyday actions and words.

It's so weird they go so hard on elise because she's atheist. Like what does that have to do with anything. I forgot her name but hardcore bible girl should take a look at herself and re-evaluate her holier than thou attitude because being in a modelling competition means you think you look good, good enough to win. and if i remember correctly pride is one of the seven deadly sins. What annoys me is when someone says they're so religious and live according to "god's word" while they cherry pick what they comply with. (Edit: grammar, i was tired)

It's interesting how Giselle is trashing Elyse and saying "She wants to be a doctor, so why is she even here?? That pisses me off." And then in Giselle's Oliver Twixt interview she literally admitted that she never really had much interest in modeling and went on ANTM because "She just wanted to be on tv" ........🤣🤣🤣

I have to say, this episode talks a lot about religion. I grew up around mostly Catholic family and also experienced Mormon religion for several years. And honestly it all felt so hypocritical and making money off of people. Personally I am okay with people believing whatever they like. For me, I try to be a good person the best I can be. And hope that after life ends there's something better for us to go to. But shoving religion down people's throats because they don't follow the Bible or believe in the same thing as you is just wrong. Our differences are what make us special and one of a kind.

@purplemonkey9575 5 years ago

Elyse is the obvious villain in this episode, but overall I think Robin was the most problematic. You can tell Elyse was just being awkward and immature, while Robin was just judgmental and aggressive the whole time of the competition. I do think is such an artificial environment for us to judge these girls.
On another note: Ebony explained she thought the mail was from her lover, that's why she wanted to keep the letter first.

@mishakensinger9454 5 years ago

"I don't respect people that want me dead" YES!! I cannot wrap my head around this Christian persecution complex like "they hate us for being Christian" like no, we want you to stop dehumanizing and killing us. We are NOT the same, sis

@LadySadieMae 5 years ago

My thing about Elise's body, is what did they expect her to do? The competition is 8 weeks long. You can't put on considerable weight/muscle in 2 months unless you're largely overeating or working out nonstop. She does have a natural thin look, meaning it's likely harder for her to put on weight. But not only that; this was 2003, when models were sought out for being 92 lbs and 5'10. They wanted them to have an androgynous look with bodies that pass for young males(no hips/chest).

@RyanVita 5 years ago

Oh and p.s. I am 100% on Elyse’s side! I’m fine being social, but I need recovery time to recharge the batteries and reduce my gout 😌

@annabeinglazy5580 5 years ago

Honestly this "im a good Person because im a Christian" (aka christianity tells me to be) is Always so concerning to me because i would argue, If you need god to Tell you to be nice to people, that doesnt make you a good person. That Just makes you scared of punishment. You should be nice to people because its the right thing to do.

People dont need one specific belief system to be good people. And that belief system will Not guarantee that they are. No belief system can do that.
