Your father's passing affected me deeply. I live abroad, far from my own parents, who are both dealing with age-related health issues, so your loss hit very close to home. I can't imagine what I would do if something happened to either of them.
One comfort is that you were able to be with your father in his final moments and have so many beautiful memories to cherish. May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give you and your family strength and patience. Ameen.
I went through the same loss (Mom) in 2023. My Mom was diagnosed with gall bladder cancer in November 2023. My sister and I live in US. We went to India immediately to take care of her. God gave us one month with her and she passed away on Dec 6th with us being around her. We were grateful to God for not prolonging her pain. It was only for a month.
My dad passed away in 2010 so the loss we felt after Mom was devastating but we also felt the relief that she was out of pain. We miss her but she wanted to go quickly and she kind of manifested her exit from earth. I get dreams about her being happy and free. Sometimes it is a blessing to loose your loved one sooner than later.❤

It’s so true, grief is not uniform & it comes in phases. Looking at it with gratitude instead of plain sadness is a great way to honour those who have passed. Thank you Aamna 😊

I hope your ammi moving in with you is a peaceful transition for both of you. 2 steong women under 1 roof is going to be challenging but enrertaining for us atleast.

I wanted to visit you in model town but I got sick so I looked up for his interviews and found a 5 part series. It gave me enough to mourn his loss and celebrate his incredible life. I keep thinking about you and how you're coping because after a few months it'll sting more as the last time you spoke to him will become more and more distant.
