Josh Pate's College Football Show

150,201 views

College Football’s week 6 was the wildest we’ve seen so far this season. On Josh Pate’s College Football Show Ep 779 Josh Pate looked at UGA vs Alabama and Oklahoma vs Texas delivering incredible outcomes. What do we make of Kirby Smart getting a win in Tuscaloosa or Oklahoma taking advantage of Arch Manning turnovers to win the Red River Shootout? USC vs Penn State and UCLA vs Oregon saw Big Ten road teams go into tough environments and take care of business. Indiana vs Nebraska looked like a home upset brewing until Curt Cignetti and the Hoosiers pulled it out. What about South Carolina upsetting Florida or Mike Elko’s comments after Texas A&M vs Missouri? Josh also takes a look at the latest edition of the AP Poll and discusses overrated and underrated teams. All that plus early best bets for week 6 and a Don’t Tread On Saturday Tour announcement. apparently the key to turning around your program in a single year is hiring whoever is coaching at JMU and bringing about a third of their squad over with the coach...Indiana first and now UCLA...that's kinda crazy

It’s crazy that yesterday was so crazy that the number 1 team in the country losing to an unranked team didn’t make the intro.

@A_Fool 10 hours ago

LSU should not be ranked. Their "big win" is Clemson 😂 they should be around 34, not top 25

There are only a few people in college football who can talk for almost two hours and maintain the attention of their viewers, even if he’s not talking about their team. Josh Pate is one of the best, if not the best! So fun to watch! Josh… you have a gift!

Especially after yesterday, Week 7 has some sneaky exciting games that I didn't mark on my calendar at the beginning of the year: Missouri @ Ole Miss, Wisconsin @ UCLA, Kentucky @ Oklahoma, Oklahoma State @ Houston, Nebraska @ Oregon, etc.

I think I can also safely say that I take for granted that these two teams will always be among the top in their roster spending every year

You couldn't spent a couple minutes discussing Mizzou's great performance

I was very excited to see Coach Deboer emotional and passionate. Seemed that way from the moment he came down that tunnel.

as a nebraska fan, im happy that we played competitive because thats really all i wanted to start with, but it really hurts that we outplayed indiana for 3 and a half quarters and still lost. the thing most of us really want is to actually finish games. I think most of us thought "playing indiana close" would have meant hanging around, being annoying, but ultimately being outclassed. What actually happened is we choked a 2 score lead with 9 minutes left in the game to a team that up to that point had been completely dead offensively.

32:17 UCLA and “Chesnetti” have now subjected teams to the Sarah McLachlan special in back-to-back weeks. Is this a first?

LSU and SMU should be replaced by Nebraska and Az.

Bama fan here: 💯 on target on balanced urgency. Went into the gamd knowing this was a win-win for both teams if it was the fist fight that we all thought it should be, with the only losses being the after game IR and the L on the season record for one team.

Zebras aside that was the best game I have watched in a long time. The inexperience vs experience showed through, and hat tip to G Stock and those receivers for making incredible plays when they were needed the most.

I hope Bama players, and clears throat errm coordinator(s) [yes, throwing D in there too, tendacies are tendacies for a reason and Ga exploited them from the start] learn from the game and continue to grow.

No doubt that 2 of the best teams in the nation went head 2 head last night, and both played their guts out and both still could do better. So, YES... yes I do look forward to a hopeful rematch, if anything for the entertainment value of slobber knocking good football, but still a lot of football left to play before we get to that point for both.

Penn State has had red zone problems all season. This is the game where it mattered. A lot.

Josh, Munich hosts 5 million tourists over 2 weeks for Oktoberfest! It’s just like a state fair and it’s fun

Damn. Not even a Jamal Roberts or (American hero) Corey Batoon shoutout.

That was a heck of a Saturday. And we won the bye. Wreck 'Em!

@CarolDavenport-hd2sg 11 hours ago

I had no idea that Stockton could be such a precision passer. His line gave him the protection he needed and I totally agree with you that Bama looked young and the coaching looked nervous at times. BTW: you seemed to be in the zone down in the corner. (From J Davenport’s football crazy mom😇)
