Hearing his mum reading one of his poems was very moving, as was the poem itself...

Rest in peace to Connan, and also to his dear dad Ian who sadly passed away in 2021, never knowing what happened to his son Connan...

Awesome work by these men & women searching for a fellow missing adventurer.. sending love & best wishes to Connans family  ❤

Those Dogs 😍 living their best lives ❤
Rest easy Connan, wherever you are ❤ ❄️ 🏔 🕊

He would have been 55 now in 2025.  (happened 34 years ago).  He lived in the capital city,  North Island but this adventure was in the South Island.
This documentary was in 2009.

I want to give Mum & Dad a hug 😢 this is heartbreaking 😭💔 I couldn't imagine not having closure 😭

Love this new series ❤ such wonderful people, heroes

Beautiful parents. 💛

A gentle, loving family. Mum & dad with such dignity. Prayers for a resolution for you all, soon 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Extraordinary efforts by everyone in the rescue teams, bravo 👏👏👏👏

Awww so sad hope one day you find your boy ❤❤❤❤❤

I consider myself a stoic person.
I burst into tears watching a grief stricken Father, Ian standing outside on the landing of the shed where his Son, Connan took shelter for those rainy days.
I'm heartbroken for your loss sir.

I live in Pacific Northwest.. many people go missing in these beautiful mountains..it’s easy to get lost , fall into a crevasse or  die from the elements. . Never hike alone . he would have loved to climb mount Rainier .RIP , Connan ..

Poor guy, he was young and had so much ambition. If I was to speculate I believe he had come into problems with a river or stream crossing.
I am sure he is looking from above guiding people through the area. RIP mate.

Such lovely parents, im so sad for them.

Permanently in the mountains that he loved, but his spirit is free ❤

he as probarly fallen and sadly passed away

I would look at the last hut and then the mum waking on the 16th April and work out how far he would of gotten by the 16th. Very sad

Never hike alone
