5 years in the future: AutoTrev - “why I’ve left autoalex”

can we just take a second to say well done taylor on the weight loss. as soon as the Nürburgring clip came up i was genuinely gobsmacked!

As a request, when the Mini is back together, can we have a video montage of every curse and swearing uttered while the car was being mended?
I think it would be a 2 hour bleeping marathon starting with Rory losing his headgasket.

Trev has been a massive help with fixing/modifying your cars. You guys should take him on your road trips & adventures

That old clip of Taylor putting in the new engine on his Mini made me realise how far hes come. Great job on the weight loss Taylor!

@simonthomas5367 5 months ago

When are we gonna be able to get Trev quilted jackets from the merch store?!

what AutoAlex has taught me in the last few years is: If you like cars with constant major problems, constant money drains and cars that need to be taken apart what seems like every weekend.... then buy a Mini or Land Rover!

Always a great watch though

@Trueseeker-r8q 5 months ago

Yeah Trev and Tom would make the perfect team in a team challenge 👌

You guys have so much patience 😂 I'd have scrapped this car by now

I think Taylor is doing a solid job of representing every single car guy working on a car he loves.

You're always 1 or 2 steps away from "This is the best goddamned car on earth." To "Gasoline and a match. That's the ticket..."

I think Rory needs to sit down and add up the total amount of time that's been spent on his Mini and calculate the total cost that both a local garage and an official BMW garage would have charged him for all the repairs in manpower alone.

10:35 - why not use the old seal to whack on the new one ?

@nickduncan5933 5 months ago (edited)

Love the fact you're walking around with the old rear main seal looking for something to use to hammer the new one home, when in fact you should just use the old one. 😂

The random bit where Robin from Viking Detail was just standing there waiting for a bus!! 😅

@andyc280081973 5 months ago

Taylor should put wingnuts on the engine mounts...

@andyly6651 5 months ago

12:09 Trevor was just saying what everyone was thinking 😂

Taylor funniest in the best natural way. Real mechanic /engineer work it out at the moment it needs to be worked out

@jamest5149 5 months ago

The reason you need to wait 4 hours + on the crank rear main oil seal is these are Teflon and needs to form to the bearing surface and coat the crank, any contamination like from the old seal or oil etc and it ruins the sealing surface and they leak. They are a pain and you cannot cut corners.

You guys should do a challenge but with Trev and Tom as one team … and you guys as 2 team on a big tour around UK and could do a meet in each city you guys go for the challenges
