As a 50 year old lifelong Chicagoan, a huge thank you to Portland for making my city the home of the greatest basketball player that ever lived.

These stories of MJ never get old

People should never forget that during the summer of 1980, between his junior and senior years in high school, Jordan participated in the Five-Star Basketball Camp. His parents had money only for one week of training but because he did so exceptionaly well, the organizers arranged that he would stay for another week and paying by serving food, cleaning tables and mopping floors. Eventually he won the MVP award of that training camp. An absolute legend!

"Michael Jordan is the best basketball player that ever played and he still is."

- Larry Bird during the 1998 NBA Playoffs (BEFORE the Bulls won their 6th NBA Championship)

All I have to say is thank you. The amount of research you have to do in order to make these videos is insane and the quality of the videos shows that effort. Keep it up!! 💪

At the news of MJ skipping his senior year to join the NBA, many pundits looked at his skinny frame and 17 point per game average and thought that would translate to 10 points per game in the NBA if he was lucky.

Just for the record, Bobby Knight may have told the Portland GM to take MJ, but the qoute is attributed to then Bulls GM Rod Thorn. Thorn told Knight "We need a center" and Knight said to Thorn "Well damn it, play him at center".

A team that cut 4 Hall. of Famers. Non Knight had a massive gem in his hands. Thanks so much for these videos

I watched all those games and was cheering for the USA team led by MJ. 💯🏀🐐

Geez, if Dean Smith or Bobby Knight asked players today the same things as they did with their guys, today's guys would walk out, quit, etc.

Well put together. A few inaccuracies, but good work.

It's unbelievable the potential USA Olympic team is playing basketball outside on hardcourts. You would think they could have runs at a University that has multiple courts

Bob saw potential and used MJ before ppl saw what was coming. It set MJ mind-set to be the best and his training regime to the highest level possible. GOAT
