Writer and painter, Justine Berger, has transformed a plain late century apartment on the Upper East Side into a vibrant and elegant home. Justine gravitates toward floral motifs, bold colors, gold embellishments and well crafted furniture. She describes her style as feminine, ornate, and Parisian with a love for Chinoiserie. Throughout her home, Justine’s Jewish heritage shines. She’s adorned her home with Judaic pieces that are both admired and also well used. Touring her 600 square-foot one bedroom apartment, you’ll see well-sized pieces that have multiple functions, armoires for extra storage, an industrial wire rack for all her baking needs, and a full-sized dining table that serves as her work from home station and painting bench. In this tour she tells of the inspiration behind the salon style art gallery she’s created, why antique furniture is her first choice, and what she hopes to share with those who visit her unique and personal home. Thank you for the lovely tour, Justine!
