Movie? What movie?
There is no Tales of Arcadia movie in Ba Sing Se.

Also, one detail that bothered me in Trollhunters was that Jim reverted back to regular Daylight armour after the Darklands arc. Um... why? The Eclipse armour has no downsides. It doesn't corrupt you, it doesn't drain your life, it just makes you capable of killing Gunmar.
It gets silly when Jim goes to fight Gunmar in S2E13 in his regular Daylight armour. Oyyy. :P
So yeah, I think Eclipse armour should've been Jim's default armour in Seasons 2&3. No need to return to Daylight, especially when Gunmar still lives.

Merlin is basically like Dumbledoor, you know, raising Harry like a pig for slaughter.

IMHO:

Trollhunters - excellent. One of the best cartoons of the past decade. It has a FEW issues like Angor Rot's redemption being rushed or Ursuna not getting any foreshadowing for her true, evil nature in Season 1, or the upgrade stones being forgotten after a single episode... But all in all, a very well done series.

3Below - good. It felt a little sloppier, especially the beginning (we should've spent 2 episodes on Akiridion-5, not one) and the main trio is a bit too "Earth dumb" for their own good but the extra development Steve & Eli got was awesome, especially after their tiny role in S3 of Trollhunters.

Wizards - kind of a mess, to be honest. It retconned the hell of out pre-established lore (it's even worse if you take the tie-in comics & novels into account; one comic revealed that Kanjigaar was Deiya's immediate succesor), the Arcane Order got no foreshadowing in Trollhunters and only a teeny-tiny bit in 3Below (Arthur on the TV screen), the plot was rushed because Netflix shrunk the episode order from 20 to just 10 and they butchered Steve (too much comedic relief). Douxie & Archie are pretty great characters, I just wish they were in a better show.

Wizards probably should've been more standalone. No need to tie it to Trollhunters lore, General Morando from 3Below wasn't Morgana's minion or anything like that. Time travel was a bad idea, too. I would've just focused on Douxie in the present day dealing with non-troll, magical threats with his HexTech buddies.

Has and will always be a peak line XD

I wanted to look up a video documentary about my favorite non_anime show and came across this after scrolling. This was a phenomenal video and I am definitely glad I watched it in its completion.

You know, until now i thought that the movie was just a car crash, but now that i see the review the movie was basically just trying to punch Jim the hardest that it could to make the ending was somehow justified... and it didnt work.

I know Steve's meant to be a comedic character but I genuinely wish they touched on stuff with his previous dad too :/

Like they touch on it a little bit with the coach/his stepdad, but I would have loved to see a scene where Steve talks to Aja about worrying what kind of parent he'd be and wanting to be grow from the person he used to be as a bully

Idk I feel like there's so much more they could have done, and I would have loved to see Aja and Steve fighting together - all the pregnancy stuff just felt like such a waste of screen time they could have used on character development instead, and it felt like such a waste of his character

Thank you for dragging me into this fandom!! It was absolutely thrilling to binge it with you and an honor to go see the movie with you (my god I still haven't recovered). This video is so well edited, I chortled so many times at the visuals you have NO IDEA (... actually you do, you heard me in vc). Honestly I'd love to see more video essays by you, the editing is f l a w l e s s. You're doing great sweatie!!

What a well written and showcased essay! Perfectly encapsulated my own thoughts and feelings on the movie. And I especially loved all the changes and fixes you proposed! Well done!

I like Jim should have gotten a bit more abilities from the gems he's a magical knight let him fire a beam or something. Also it didn't feel like E3 had really big steaks in the movie they kind of just felt their

there is a big flaw in the movie that makes no sense and no one talks about it, in the starting episodes of 3below in one of the episode krel says that humans thinks they are the only one in universe and they are the center of the universe but then krel says center of the universe isnt even close to earth its relly far away but suddenly arcadia became the center it means two things first is that krel was wrong and second is that writters just forgot about it

I don't know what I was expecting when I clicked on this video, but this... is amazing (AND THE EDITINGSUVSUSBSS)

For me I feel like the movie's pacing and ending was the biggest issue for me because the movie doesn't really let me... get a chance to breathe, the humor is... ugh. Also maybe this was just me, but I couldn't stand the character deaths, I give the movie that for killing off so many characters, but I didn’t really feel anything, I couldn't give a single damn when anyone died outside of maybe Strickler and Toby

The franchise is pretty good but I really think that it could’ve/should’ve been so much better and gotten very fun and creative. For example, in one episode in s2 where the show introduces new powers that Jim can give to the amulet and himself such as increased strength and the ability to walk/run on walls and the show just doesn’t do anything with it, like get fun, get creative.

I have always though merlins head cap thing looks like a pancake dropped onto his head.

I think things would have been a lot better if there were more crossover cameos or interactions between the different characters and 3Below would have benefitted and thrived much more if it had been given three seasons, the titular 3 had arrived much earlier in the timeline (maybe before or during season 1 of Trollhunters) and there was a stronger connection between Earth and Akiridion, like there could have been a type of magic that was inspired or derived from Akiridion energy or tech? (idk, I'm not so good with world building), also another commentor mentioned it, but the trio are written to be a bit excessively ignorant or stupid regarding Earth itself.

Underrated 😔

3 below was slow to grow on me but now i will give glorious death to anyone who hates it. Not liking is fine. Hate is not.

Pacific rim reference in titans was gold.

Wizards just started from season 2. The guitar! I miss the guitar.

Morgana could be explained as she become a whispering force after sealing and thus all the name thing.

Imagine if the pregnancy took years to complete. Solves everything!!. I love the you prego gag. It keeps that in.

Lastly, we should get the new aftermath. Maybe different armour or weapon. But standing at the end, trollhunter toby and warhammer Jim. Along with everyone.

I think the perfect ending for Steve or what he should have done is protecting the humans in the school making his ark full circle somebody who acted as a bully in the past now is the hero that will save Arcadia. I also think he should have been going to Akaradion 5 with Aja and Vex Should've Retire making Steve the Bodyguard of the Queen after training also by Vex and Zardara.
my Girl Claire didn't Deserve that Slap in the Face  She Deserves to be an Happy Life with Jim

I'm not gonna lie a massive fan of the franchise and my personal favorite show in this series is actually 3 below by I loved the other 2 alot but this movie was disaster like I wish they just remade this. But there is one problem with the Movie I'm surprised you didn't talk about how useless everybody was. But not gonna I actually hated Toby's plot in the movie because it just came out of nowhere in this
