Buffy is one of the best shows EVER. You're in for one hell of a very fun ride. 🧛🧛‍♂🧛‍♀ I'm looking forward to rewatching it here.

Another Buffy reaction?  I'm in

Buffy may be nearly thirty years old but it's still wonderful. You have such a fantastic experience ahead of you.

I love how that first scene establishes the show so well. 'Horror tropes with a twist', high school setting etc.

Hey! I watched your content under a previous account and am glad to have you cross my feed again. I'm on season 4 of "Buffy" myself and can confirm it's an unexpected and fantastic journey. OG fans sometimes give the first season a hard time but I think overall it holds up well for those of us getting to the series at this point.  A little lower budget and all, but the stories are mostly solid, the acting is great, and it's easy to become invested in the characters. Hope you enjoy the Buffy journey!

A little constructive criticism...   Buffy is one of my favorite shows and I must have seen over two dozen reactors react to it over the years, and am excited to see you take it on.  Your reaction to it was great and I would love to continue watching.  But I don't know if I can deal with the editing style.  The way the editing is done, the show constantly skips forward in the middle of sentences, sometimes in the middle of the words. It is so disorienting to my brain.  Maybe if the editing improves; lets them complete a sentence or two before skipping ahead, it would go a looooong way.  Other than that, great reaction and I hope to continue watching.

Just know this is the hd remastered version so you will be seeing rooms brighter when they should be darker and sometimes you will see a cameraman or mic in the scene

Yes, lots of people say things like, “get through season one, it gets better.”  Season One is important as this is when Buffy commits to being a Slayer and starts to develop her leadership skills.

I’m a simple Buffy Stan. I see a new reactor, I subscribe.. ❤️🧛🏻welcome to the hellmouth, friend

20:01 Yes, Julie Benz starred in Dexter. She originally auditioned for the role of Buffy but got the role of Darla instead. Another fun fact is that Sarah Michelle Gellar actually originally auditioned for the role of Cordelia while Charisma Carpenter auditioned for the role of Buffy. And yes, David Boreanaz starred in Bones.

Oh you are going to love Buffy Summers more and more. From the start, she’s so competent, brave, and responsible, all while being a 16 year old girl who yearns for a normal life. She’s my favorite character and her journey/story is just amazing.

New Buffy Reactor! Welcome

Buckle up! Buffy goes from being campy (but funny) in Season 1 to one of the most dramatic series ever, while retaining its humor!
As with most shows it has growing pains (it was a midseason summer replacement) but with Season 2 comes a bigger budget & more episodes per season.

True Blood is a cool series - but "Buffy" is the GOAT.

Congrats you have selected one of the best tv series of all time. This show has everything, life, love, lust, friendship, betrayal, incredible drama and brilliant comedy also with such fantastic characters and story lines. The writing is superb. Hope you enjoy it, am sure you will.

I loved your Twin Peaks reactions!
And now you're stepping into my fave show all time!
Can't wait to enjoy the ride with you!

If this will be half as enjoyable as your Twin Peaks reaction - I'm in!

The opening narration is called a Saga Sell. It explains the concept of the show in case viewers are coming in without having watched from the beginning.

Buffy started as a feature film, it was the remade and turned into the show. They kept what they liked and changed what they didn't feel worked from the film to the show.
So when the show jumps in like this, Buffy's first adventures were in LA in the film. But the film is somewhat different as well, and not considered strictly cannon.

RIP Anthony Stuart head that played Rupert Giles

RIP nicholas brandon that played Alexander (Xander) Harris

25:53 - Buffy's the best of all.
