I was one of Edward Norton’s PA’s on this film. He is one of the kindest people I have ever met.  The complete opposite of his character.  I was engaged to my girlfriend at the time.  8 years later I worked on The Painted Veil.  I didn’t expect him to remember me but sure enough, he did. He asked me how girlfriend/wife is and remembered her name too. He joked  saying he never got an invitation. A few weeks later, I received a letter on set from him with some money and congratulating us on getting married

Ed Norton is super nice in real life. He took a pic with my 92 year old great-grandmother because she was a fan of the Hulk. I've never seen her smile that much. He made her day. She died at 94.

The line that always gets me is "hate is baggage life's too short to be pissed off all the time" that's straight facts 💯

FUN FACT: "Fat guy" from this and Remember The Titans (among others) is named Ethan Suplee. He went from near 500 pounds to basically built like The Rock now. 💪

Artistically the way it goes from color to black and white when it goes back to Ed Norton’s old ideaology is great. Cause that’s all he saw everything was black and white.

I highly recommend “Primal fear” (1996) — Edward Norton’s acting debut for which he won a golden globe and was nominated for an academy award. Top tier.

Edward Norton in Fight Club 👍

That teacher is what EVERY teacher should be <3 No child is without hope

"has anything you've done, made your life better" Best moment of the movie, and a strong reminder for everyone in life !

The last scene with his dad, when he plants the seed of racism reminds me of a line from an Immortal Technique interview I heard him say. He said, "The first victim of racism is a child taught to be racist."

One of the greatest movies of all time. So disturbing, dark, powerful and emotional! Pure nostalgic! This movie will forever be top tier ❤

Primal Fear. One of Edward Nortons first movies that earned him an academy award nomination….before this, being his second nomination.
Primal Fear is a must see.

That black kid did what the T-1000 spent a whole movie trying to do

This movie conveys so well how a person in pain can be manipulated. They are hurting so hard, and in that moment, the only relief that they can feel is to direct that anger at a target. It rarely matters what or whom that target comprises; just as long as it can be recognized. Chilling.

The director wanted an alternative ending where it cuts to Norton's character shaving his head going back to his old ways but Ed thought it wouldn't have been as imapctful and would've ruined "the message" so they kept the original ending

Best line in the movie during the ending monologue: "Life is too short to be pissed off all the time"

This dude has range

One of the sad things about the ending IMO is that no matter how Derek had changed from prison, there was no way that he could save his brother. The only way that he could've prevented Danny's death was by never going down that path in the first place. Our hate gives consequences even for the people around us.

Just fyi mj. He wasn’t assaulted in prison because he was talking to the black dude. It was because he dissed them in public when he sat and ate lunch by himself in front of the whole prison. On top of him expressing his opinions on how he felt about the politics with them.

The fact Derek is absolutely convinced he is the cause of his brother's death is so emotionnal.
