all roads lead back to rimworld for me heh

I swear Cel sounds sweet and innocent until she starts talking about the things she does in Rimworld. 💀

Nutty Putty Cave is an actually real cave where someone really did die

33:28 the 'ego' stat contributes to your psychic power so eating a humble pie to purposefully reduce your ego means your psychic glimmer (a beacon for other psychics to you so they can consume your brain) also decreases

I like that “game like dwarf fortress” for her mean “game without graphic”

Always down to watch more blue anime lady.

Rimworld is fun always remember prisoners without legs escape way less often.

So, this is how I learn that Celosia isn't only soft-spoken vtuber but is also bloodthirsty.

You are looking at classic ASCII tile graphics (EDIT: okay, you are looking at the tileset replacement for them but I'm still covering this), the go-to for Rogue itself and most to all roguelikes until the late 1990s. This simultaneously spares a LOT of developer effort making graphics (you may have noticed that often the more complex a game's systems are the less it's trying on visuals - this is not a coincidence) and surprisingly ultimately helps the player to easily understand what they're seeing. Once you're thinking "an 'a' is a giant ant; the colour is the type of giant ant", "the periods are empty floor or dirt or something else I don't need to care much about", and so on for the rest of what's on the screen, you're visualizing the environment and there's also less work for your brain to keep up with what's happening than if you're peering at a 3D raytraced dungeon working out which details are at all gameplay-relevant. Not necessarily ideal for cinematic storytelling (although ASCII graphics work fine accompanied by text), but for sandboxes it's a solid design choice.

Since everybody was using this back in the day and a lot of the coders were borrowing from each other, it's also easier to get used to the next game doing this. Graphical tilesets did start to show up once computers had the RAM to conveniently allow storing them, but they're often optional even today and they're also often fanmade.

rare blue lady refresh pull

This is my first run in of Celosia. I will be watching more. She shares the same humor with me and that's good enough for me :D

Thanks for more Sseth reacts! Hoping for more, thanks Celosia!

i highly reccommend sseth's elin and elona videos. they are both pure gold, and elin is one of the most underrated games ever. you can smash copper into bones and make copper fish bait out of them. you can make armor edible and eat it. you can become an eldritch abomination with seven arms and fifteen necks. recently the dev just added a playable slime race with mechanics based on reincarnated as a slime.

Hey hey people, Cel here.

But seriously, I'm all for more sseth content.

Hey hey Cel, comments here. You spoil me with two videos at the same time. I don't know if I have the strength to do it, but we will find out.
Qud is good. Rimworld is good. And where does all of this lead to?
In the end, we are all Slaves to Armok, sleepy blue anime dragon lady. In the end, we return to Dwarf Fortress.
And in the event you get extra sleepy, my beanbag chair has room for two sleepers.

Actually got hooked on the game by this vid back then. Absolute glorious game

"This is exactly the kind of unhinged content I love. Celosia's 'I knew it, I knew it' when the plants were talking about her was perfect.

26:30  The clone becomes a new merchant and when the stores refresh it gains an inventory

Sseth videos are so good. Hey hey blue woman.

He has such a way with words
