The slow blink is the real Cat kisses.
If a Cat loves you enough to share a slow blink they're paying you the highest honor.

My cat runs this place so I'm good.

I get tired of videos that don’t get to the point

1. Let them decide the distance
2. Swap the stare for a slow blink
3. Keep their world steady
4. Let them sleep & groom in peace
5. Listen when they say no
6. Let the m hunt
7. Be predictable

Well, tomorrow morning I have to take my little Tigger to the vet. He has lymphoma and is wasting away. He’s been with me for 17 years. At the moment, he’s lying next to me and I can feel his warmth. My little Tigg won’t be here with me tomorrow. It’s very hard to bear.

A feral kitten wandered into my garage, fit in the palm of my hand,,im not a cat person, but i couldn't have her killed,i was diagnosed with prostate cancer, please god don't let me die before her

Ex family had few cats. One seemed to be friendly. 6 months later I became her person. She only left me alone when asleep or went out. I got her message to me so quick. I realise her message when her final day arrived. I was her person and smudge was my cat. I still get warm to emotional when I think of her. Her message was I was your only one and you will love me more. I can still see her when I concentrate. She was a small female tuxedo.

Nearly all of my cats (and I've had dozens over the years, to be honest) all waited for me to be home from work so that they died in my lap. Now maybe that's a compliment or it's a curse but I know when I had 8 cats who all slept around me from my head to my foot that for my boyfriend and me to get romantic he had to fight his way through and a couple of them actually hung on for the ride, so to speak. But all of them, even the strays who adopted us, waited to die snuggled in my lap.

i love it when the stray cats sleep so soundly they snore❤

On #7, this is why I never use a laser pen. They can never win!

Something to say about #5... I don't disturb my kitties while they're grooming, but giving pets while they're sleeping is another thing. Oreo especially... I catch her curled up on the bed sleeping and go to pet her... she'll roll over onto her back and stretch out. When I start rubbing her belly she starts the loudest purring she ever does. Reeses literally grabs my hand with her front paws and directs it to her chin, she loves chin scratches.

I gave my best to all the cats I owned.I learned how to communicate, to make them feel comfortable and secure in a steady daily routine.
❤❤❤❤❤❤

I love it when stray cats sleep so peacefully that they even start snoring. ❤🐱 It’s just the cutest thing! 🥹

With cats, consistency is a huge deal. Now if only the cats didn't keep changing their minds.

My cat's favorite napping is on my chest, which is kind of troublesome when I am busy because I hate waking her up when I need to move, she can just pass out for hours. I've started moving her behind my back on top of my recliner and that seems to improve things. I love that she likes being around me whenever I am working at the PC or relaxing.

The slow eyeblink is something I picked up with my first kitten years ago, I was sleepy after a final test for the uni and I took the little one and placed it on my chest, looked it in the eyes and started nodding off, as I did I saw that it was also closing its eyes little by little and relaxing. I kept doing that every day thinking I was hypnotizing the little one but in fact it worked on cats I would come across, they would relax and walk to me. That is how I realized its a friendly gesture that says "hey I'm harmless friend" coupled by soft talk and its like magic.

Hi....dog person here....cats absolutely LOVE me and I do not know why....they gravitate toward me....not so much when I was a child but now as an adult when anyone tells me I "probably won't see the cat, since it hides from people"....that does not include me....thanks for the reminder of the slow blink....it truly works....I basically leave them alone and they choose to come to me and it's amazing.  The latest cat that belongs to one of my clients has only known me two days, laid down on her back exposing her belly in the living room close to where I was sitting.....sweet......I'll never understand the bond they feel with me but it's an honor since they don't choose just anyone to trust.  Though I'm not a cat person, I do love and respect them and I suppose they feel that love and respect from me.  They're cool and I learn from them.

I enjoyed this very much. It took me a while, but I have learned the truth of every one of these points and they are with me each day as I enjoy every interaction with my beloved cat. Understanding the behaviour of a radically different creature is a real challenge and a big achievement - especially when you think how much we struggle to understand our fellow humans!

I have had cat's my whole life I think I'm pretty good with most of this but I will try to remember them all and put this to use.

I like this video. I gave my cat respect  and gentle kindness but I used to play a game with her we both enjoyed, yeah definitely I’d look at her sometimes and needed a FIX 😂. I’d be dying to love on her.  The game was me “threatening” her that I was going to get her. “I’m gonna GITCH yooo”!!! 😂 I’ll GITCHOO !!! , and immediately she’d grab the edges of whatever couch or chair she was on and start squirming with anticipation and acting all flirty. She LOVED being “got”! 😂
It was just a thing between us, it just meant I was about to come give her kisses and pets, hug her.
If she wasn’t ok with it, believe me she was a strong character and wouldn’t have put up with it nor would she have stayed there so I could “get” her ❤
I miss her terribly. We had 16 1/2 years together.

The rougher I am, the more they love me. Setting boundaries to keep them from sitting on my face in the mornings.
