This is my first electric guitar. It’s Williams Stratocaster copy. I got it when I was 14. Eventough it may not be the most valuable guitar, I still have special bond with it.
I have made some terrible mods to it in the past and now I wanted to modify it properly, altough I still made quite few mistakes even now, but the guitar is actually better now, so im happy.
When I was kid I wanted this guitar to be real Fender.. I cut fender logo out of Fender string set and glued it on top of Williams logo.
And once my friend came by and asked
-Wow! Jukka is that a real fender?
I answered
-no.. it’s a real bender
That is how I got the Idea for new headstock decal.
(I didin’t know about the double meaning for word bender in UK🫣😄 for me Bender is the funny robot from Futurama)

Thumbnail was previously ”I made $2500 modification to a $50 guitar” and I tried to justify it’s use by explaining in the video what a similiar modification would cost if you had it done by a guitar builder. (Modification like this dosen’t make any sense unless you do it yourself ”for free”)
However, my explanation really went unnoticed by many people😅 ✌️ so I decided to change the thumbnail. Anyway thank you for all comments and views! this video has already been more successful than I expected🙏

This was a great presentation of the thought, work and re-thinking that goes into either building from scratch, or doing a heavy modification as with your guitar.
I do similar projects, and always get a laugh when someone comments "... could have bought at new brand X", or "...could have bought 3 guitars". Those comments may be true, but what those individuals fail to realize is the eduction and experience that one gets from actually doing the work. Not much learned by handing cash to a salesperson and walking out the door with a new guitar. No challenge in that.
I appreciate the errors, and your recovery from problems. Good for everyone to see and learn from. Every step of build/mod has potential problems to work around, and learn to avoid. Glad you showed those things!
Good playing too, and I laughed when the string broke. These things happen, and we need to take them all in stride.
