The Luka trade was so out of the left field it made the front page on a Belgian Newspaper. Basketball never makes it to the front page, not even when DJ MBenga or Ajay Mitchell won a ring.

Here from the future. Knicks made the right move

I think it has been one of the best seasons in the NBA for a long time. The sheer amount of incredible stories, great matches and one of the best playoffs' series was so huge, that you could easily forget about some of them.
Yet, I think 2024-25 season was the moment when a certain problem became clearly apparent. Specifically, I'm referring to the casual audience—not fans of a particular team, or basketball fans in general. I'm talking about average people for whom the NBA is entertainment. While the level of sportsmanship in the NBA is as high as ever, and the playoffs were the cherry on top, as soon as the biggest organizations, in terms of recognition, were eliminated, the viewership figures plummeted. Consequently, many people didn't even see the best plays in the playoffs, at most, maybe a few highlights. In contrast, in the EuroLeague, this problem is almost nonexistent—mainly because the EuroLeague is watched primarily by fans of specific teams (Like Partizan, Crvena Zvezda or Fenerbahce) or basketball in general, and the product is aimed at them, not necessarily the masses. NBA is aimed at the masses, however due to the distribution of fans among teams, the increasing number of fans of specific players (I mean fans who support the team in which their favorite player plays) and the general popularization of highlights over entire matches, it is unable to maintain viewership at a consistently high level.

Furthermore, this was the first season in a long time where such a huge difference in the level of play between the regular season and the playoffs was visible from the very first round. This happens extremely rarely and saying it was a shock, would be an understatement.

Additionally, there have been a few hiccups along the way that the NBA can do something about. Starting from the referees and their sometimes illogical decisions, to focusing too much on the stars (I wish the average fan would appreciate players like Isaiah Hartenstein and his almost automatic left-handed floater or Nickeil Alexander-Walker more often), ending with the constant clinging to nostalgia and, in a sense, blocking new options for development (recent years have been slightly better in this, but there is still room for improvement).

For me, it was beautiful season, but, sadly, I think only fans of basketball will really appreciate it fully and I wish more people will do it in a future.

K uploaded. We eating today 🔥🔥

I will never not find it hilarious that people wanted to paint Butler as anything other than a cancer... All because they thought he was fun in Miami. The dude ruins teams.

How do you make an NBA video and not have Giannis on the Thumbnail?

1:19:19 Shai and Hali aren't stars? I'm so sure bro

45:52 Sensing a strong Western Conference bias in this video so far…
