You must be some kind of magician cause I've bin try to get the small lobe to stay just before opening the points and as soon as I let it go it pulls itself right through

How come he doesn’t mention where your spark plugs go you need to know which hole on the magneto cap the rear spark plug wire goes to does the rear go to the far outside right or the inside hole? Where does your front plug wire go far outside hole or inside hole when you’re sitting on the bike looking down where does the spark plugs go on the magneto cap once again sitting on the bike looking down at the cap which one goes where?

I have a 1974 harley ironhead  with a magento not sure to set the points gap at .015 ) (.0018) or ???? I also spark set at .020?? I was told it does make a diffence which S.P wires goes to cylinder front or back the  get different answers from youtube

Is it true Harley did NOT need a battery when the bike had a generator? but did require a
