Wasn't big and strong as Foreman, wasn't natural as Ali, but he had the drive, fire in the belly and a heart of a lion. As Big George said: "They stopped the fight, but they didn't stop Joe Frazier - I knocked that man down 6 times, and he was still looking for me. He was the bravest fighter I've ever seen".
Rest in peace smokin' Joe, You were the real people's champ.

Joe Frazier was a man who came from the dirt and never got changed by money or fame, 1 of the nicest humans boxing has ever seen.

“Left hook so perfect it even looked good when he missed” now that’s Epic...😎✅

How Ali was able to get up after that shot, not to mention having endured 14 other rounds of punishment, I'll never know. Two legendary warriors.

“God picked the wrong night.”  Epic.

i will never forget when joe was asked if he was willing to die and go out for the 15th round in the 3rd ali fight and he said yes with no hesitiation.         it is amazing the mindset they develop rising to that level of athlete.

Smokin Joe was my favorite heavyweight champion. His left hook was an art form.

Joe Frazier - An incredible fighter with the meanest left hook in the history of the sport, an amazing man who dedicated his entire life to become a champion.

I met Joe Frazier 3 months before he passed away.. I was stationed at Nellis AFB and just happened to be working on a Saturday. My retirement ceremony was coming up soon so I went to  the ticketing agency on base to price tickets for my family.. As I walked into the building in uniform I recognized the Champ sitting at a table signing autographs. I immediately payed my respects to the Champ.. Such a beautiful person, friendly, and had a big hearty laugh. I called my Mentor back at my hangar.. I was so siked up.. Chief you gotta come over her right NOW!!! We took pics with the Champ and he signed my boxing gloves that I had been working out with in my Muay Thai class. Beautiful memory with class act Champion.. Smokin Joe Frazier.. Rest Peacefully Champ.. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

"I smoke on the mic like Smokin' Joe Frazier!"

Joe Frazier is the real Rocky story. He is Philly boxing. Respect to the ancestor 👊🏾

This generation of fighters were made of different stuff, literally nothing short of death could stop them!
That hook that frazier put ali down with, would've knocked a bull out!
True gladiators.

Left Hook : 10%
Heart of Pure Gold : ∞%

Belethor: “Looking to protect yourself or do some damage?”

Frazier: “yes”

Smokin Joe didn't knock his opponents  out in the early rounds, but he'll beat the ever living shit out of his foes till his last breath.. plus he's a one tough son of gun and a heart of a Lion, eye of the Tiger and a bite of a Jaguar.. RIP CHAMP Smokin Joe

To me, Joe Frazier was the embodiment of the American Dream. Came from abject poverty, faced a ton of hardship and adversity early in his life, but thru his sheer power of will and belief in himself, he became a legend. And what's more, thru it all, the people who knew him describe him as a good man who was kind, generous, & loyal. There will never be another Joe Frazier. Such a shame the city of Philadelphia did him so dirty in the end. That man is a real American sports hero.

So much respect for Joe Frazier one of the most honest fighters ever

His left hook was a masterpiece and also his stamina.

Joe Frazier is one of my favorite boxers of all time

never be another like him, respect to the champ.

Frazier was before my time but I love watching his highlights because he was a monster. He was a terminator machine that always came forward. He didn’t have reverse in his transmission. Joe was also a great human being. He paid Ali’s bills and helped him financially. It’s a shame the way Ali disrespected him.
