This was peak, pre 80's, ZZ Top. Timeless greatness...

ZZ Top proved all you need is a guitar, a bass guitar, a drum and someone that can sing the blues.

Saw them in the 70's. Loudest concert I've ever been to. To this day, I blame my hearing loss on that one night. It was a blast

This medley came about as an accident. The sound engineer was trying to edit out some empty space between songs for the Tres Hombres album and accidently trimmed too much. The band heard the fast transition and decided to keep it in...

The people are right it is non-negotiable you have to listen to them back to back

After ZZ Top hit it big. They still honored their contracts with local high schools to play at the proms.

that lil ol band from Texas. Wonderful band.

Incredible. Sounds almost like a modern version of a blues band from the 1920's-1940's.

Incredible blues rock from that little ole band from Texas, love Tres Hombres more than any of their other albums, Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers and Cheap Sunglasses are 2 of my favorite tracks...

I'm seventeen and stoned just listening to this.
I feel sorry for young people now not having the music and fun we had all those years ago.

The best zz top before they went all mainstream.

I still say the fastest hardest, shortest song of theirs that I love is “Heard It On The X”!
It’s interesting when you discuss the flow of one song into another because the first example of that that alway jumps to my mind is the Bob Seger live concert album in which “Traveling Man” just seems to flow so naturally into “Beautiful Loser “, probably because they’re sort of character studies of an individual.

"Do You Play Them Back to Back?" ABSOLUTELY!!! It would be sacrilege not to.

I saw them at the Auditorium Theatre in Chicago in 73 or 74. When they played this the place went nuts

This is my favorite album by ZZ Top. It is peak for me. I love the guitar tones on this one. Never leaves my iTune playlist.

I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd followed by ZZTop at the Tennessee State Fair in Nashville while I was with the 101st Airborne at Fort Campbell, Kentucky in the summer of 1974. It was the only time I saw ZZTop whereas I saw Lynyrd Skynyrd two more times then tragically their plane crashed. It was a mind blowing experience seeing them together.

Ah, the days before MTV when ZZ Top rocked.

ZZ Top and lynyrd skynyrd are my cruising on long trip music throw in anyone of their albums and listen start to finish all ride long

Two 12 bar blues classics. 😊 Billy Gibbons' guitar solo is top notch. I hadn't thought about them accentuating the turnaround so strongly in Jesus Just Left Chicago before. You always hear something new.
