I used to listen to Freeze Fm on the Nottingham live linkup in the East Midlands, broadcasted from the top of some flats next to Carlton square. We had our own DJs from Nottingham but when they wernt on, they would stream London freeze fm.

I used to go in Halfords and tune all the car radios on display into freeze fm 😂

Used to call in as ‘mochachino’ 😂

Anyone remember 2SG forum?

pirate radio will always be around as long as the Fm dial lives on .. 2026 pirates live on may not be as many but its still filled up....
from the 90's to  early 2000 were the proper days off pirate radio.

I miss them days of setting up the rig and turning the link box on ❤

Freeze was the one! Everyone in the endz was all over this! Wayyyyyyy back in the good days.... Love the footage!

Epic station.... Amazing Documentary.. Footage from them days is goldust, magical..,.
Funny enough I had a show at one point, one day I played Crazy Cousins dubplate long before it blew up, Elski called me after the show and kicked me off the station saying "I dont what that Bongo music youre playing is but its not a good fit for the station".....
Make of that what you will, but you know you gotta read between the lines with them kinda rhetorics....

Used to listen online back in the day (real player I think) and record the sets. Found a couple of Ikon shows on some CD-R that still plays. Big tunes.

Another time I remember was when listeners would phone in and MC down the phone lol
