In this video we make the complete scenic drive from Lake Powell to Flagstaff, Arizona, traveling through the heart of the Navajo Nation. This iconic road trip captures the dramatic transition from the low desert and red rock mesas to the high-elevation pine forests of Northern Arizona.
We begin our journey at the Glen Canyon Dam Bridge, offering incredible views of the Colorado River and the vast blue waters of Lake Powell at the dam. From there, we head south on Highway 89, wandering through a geological wonderland of painted deserts, ancient rock formations, and wide-open horizons, and a major highlight of the route at Antelope Pass which feels like a wild red rock rollercoaster.
