AVD Models has created a unique community at the intersection of model building and collecting. ZIL-130s, KamAZs, LiAZ-677s, trolleybuses, buses, trucks, and special-purpose vehicles—many of these vehicles are familiar to us not from museums and history books, but from our own childhoods, yards, streets, and family memories.
But could relying on a huge number of new models, rare prototypes, and niche resin models have been a mistake? Should we have released five or six models a month, or would it have been better to focus on a few truly popular vehicles?
In this issue, we discuss:
— Why AVD Models once took off so quickly;
— How a distinct community of collectors and modelers formed around AVD;
— Why cars evoke such intense nostalgia;
— Are rare models truly of interest to the mass market;
— Why ZILs, KamAZs, LiAZs, and other familiar vehicles can sell better than exotic prototypes;
— What vehicles AVD could produce today;
— why the VAZ-2108, VAZ-2110, Renault Logan, Hyundai Solaris, and other ordinary cars could one day become true models of the era.
This isn't an attempt to "bury" AVD Models or a statement about the company's financial health. Rather, it's a reflection on what a person is actually buying when they pick up a box containing a scale model car.
Perhaps we're not buying plastic and metal at all.
Perhaps we're buying the opportunity to once again connect with our own past.

Каток тоже есть,хотелось бы Кировец,у дяди был,и асфальтоукладочную машину,не успел купить.
А ещё у них была такая мусорка,такая с краном и восьми контейнерами,и газовоз,тоже не успел купить...
И всё это воспоминания с детства...
Жаль,рельсовые никто не делает,там непочатый край...

Пазве что через призму когда собираешь условный БТР и задаёшься вопросом а насколько вообще он большой-то, чего бы рядом такое поставить, чтобы был размер очевиден. И вот тут начинаешь тильтовать что ту же девятку или волгу фиг найдёшь.
Я очень много видео про них видел и хотел собрать коллекцию, это были замечательные модели. Грузовики, автобусы, троллейбусы, трактора. Я хотел их все!
Я видел в видео как их клеили красили, добавляли декали , тюнинговали по своему, старины добавляли. Я мечтал иметь коллекцию таких моделей.
Но когда я зашел на сайт то понял что мне они не по карману. Я тогда ролики про моделей много смотрел и тогда они меня привлекали.
Zvezda, Italerri, ICM , Моделист, тот же АВД. Всё было очень интересно жалко что в детстве у меня их не было, да и сейчас они мне уже не нужны

ещё, хочу парусники, колёсные теплоходы, сухогрузы, танкеры, контейнеровозы, тоже в 1:10 И! чтобы плавали, а не ходили :)))
хочу всё в 1:10!!! :))
НО! Больше всего хочу, чтобы производители поняли что их модели это игрушки и уже на этапе проектирования, закладывали возможность моторизации своих моделей. Пусть модель в 3 раза дороже станет, но если она становится R/C это уже совсем другая история ;)
А ещё, Дашуня, к Вам большая просьба! Снимите :))) ....не об том вы все подумали! :))) Снимите, пожалуйста про оборудование для покраски. Можно раз в год снимать и таким образом актуализировать информацию. Вот какой компрессор с ресивером и пистолетик мне сейчас купить?
