One mosquito. Six needles. Thirty seconds your body never forgets.

In this hybrid 3D animation, you'll see what really happens when a mosquito bites you: how it tracks you down using CO₂, heat and smell, how its six stylets slide beneath your skin, what it injects into your body – and why it's not the mosquito but your own immune system that makes you itch. Plus: the trick that can dramatically reduce the itch if you act fast.

In my newest video about the life of a worker bee, I used my own narration instead of an AI voice: https://youtu.be/acCMueFVPmE
Which style do you prefer for future documentaries?

I don't usually comment on YouTube but this video is the best explaining about Mosquitoes I have seen.

Now that we understand how can we eradicate every single one of them?

Just imagine the greatness of the Creator who fashioned and created this mosquito.

I have been doing that trick where you press a small cross into the bite without knowing it’s actually one of the few things to help the itch. Growing up in the Philippines, there’s tons of mosquitoes there.

Heat treatment is an absolute game changer for me since I react quite badly to them. If you are too late to stop the itch with a little heat tool ie the swelling and itch has spread too much put your skin under a hot tap (as hot as you are comfortable with)

5:12 If our minds reject the idea that a simple pencil could exist without deliberate work of a human engineer , how can we logically conclude that the complex , high-tech engineering of a mosquito is the result of a cosmic accident , and came about without a creator ? This applies not just to the mosquito, but to the entire spectrum of creation , from the perfect architecture of a single atom to the profound complexity of the human body .

Btw great editing , and thank you for the fascinating informations !

The best trick, is trying to not scratch for 5 minutes. After that, you never feel the itch anymore, you don't get the stain mark or the itching for days. It just passes on and nothing more ever happens (until next mosquito bites)

During covid when there was hand sanitizer everywhere, I discovered that if I just wipe the bite with hand sanitizer the itch is gone almost instantly, sometimes requiring a 2nd wipe a few minutes later. But just wipe the bite with hand sanitizer and the whole itch and bump goes away very quickly.

“Indeed, Allah is not ashamed to set forth an example of a mosquito, or even something above it. Those who believe know that it is the truth from their Lord. As for those who disbelieve, they say: ‘What does Allah intend by this example?’ Through it He lets many go astray, and through it He guides many. Yet He lets only the defiantly disobedient go astray.” 2:26

My uncle peed on my mosquito bite when I had a severe skin reaction. Didn't work, it just traumatised me getting peed upon

I’ve always found pinching the bite site helps stop itching - and seems to encourage the skin to secrete all the stuff irritating it.

Dragonflies are their best predators.

Applying vinegar to the bite also helps with the itch.

This is the best video I have seen so far. Very well done. I liked the animated dog.

I just use hot water on the bite for a couple of seconds then the itch goes away.

Seeing the maxillae and mandibles working like microscopic, reciprocating saws to pierce the skin tissue layer while the labrum tracks a capillary is terrifyingly brilliant. This level of 3D anatomical visualization is elite👏👏
