One of the greatest matches of WCW Nitro.

That pop at the end was wild... Sting was one of a kind.

As a die hard sting fan..This in my opinion is his greatest match and my personal favorite!

@TaylorTwo-Gen 1 year ago

One of the last WCW matches that reminded us of the peak.

@GinNBoost 1 year ago

26 years later and this is still better than anything WWE puts out there in the ring.

@BradRabbit 1 year ago

Wasn't this voted as Nitro's best match ever? One of the best matches I've seen for sure.

@pikppa 1 year ago

One of the greatest matchs in the history of WCW with two of the greatest wrestlers in the history of WCW!

This was a great match & fun fact: This was Dusty Rhodes booking idea to have this match & then DDP wins it later on in a rematch on this night. Also this idea was used on the WWE No Mercy PPV back in 2007 when Triple H beat Randy Orton for the belt in the opening match & Orton won it back

one of Sting's best late 90s matches

This match is awesome still to this day.

IMO, the greatest match to take place in Nitro in 1999

WCWs possibly greatest world heavyweight championship match. DDP was phenomenal but I always loved Sting. Glad they gave it to him. What a 5 star great match!

This channel broadcasts a lot of DDP matches. At the same time, it's often the best matches of WCW, DDP matches.

One of my favorite matches ever. Love the spot at the end with Sting blocking the cutter and hitting the death drop. F’n awesome

@PacmanCarter3 1 year ago

This match and their match one year earlier was two of the greatest matches on Nitro

Can we just say that the ace commentary team in this era can not be beat

@Steinbergular0810 1 year ago

I would put this as the greatest match in the history of Nitro
