I didn’t know it was possible to have goosebumps for five minute straight

that makes me realise that a movie only focus on aragorn's arc would have already been a fantastic movie by itself

I don't believe Aragorn's destiny is fate. Aragorn is a truly chivalrous man (look at C.S. Lewis ' The necessity of Chivalry') and his actions where only a product of his own free will. Aragorn had every chance to turn back. We see the challenge of his free will in the 'Fellowship of the Ring' where he is truly tempted to take the ring from Frodo, however, against all temptation he chose to resist. This is what made Aragorn a greater man than Boromir. Aragorn also made the choice not to believe in fate (which was to be the same fate as Isildur) and created his own path to becoming King. Tolkien being a Catholic would definitely define Aragorn's actions as a product of free will and not fate.

My dad reminds me of Aragorn, stoic quiet and noble and a war hero. Special forces marines. I just realized that may be why I love lotr so much. I see my dad in all these characters and I aspire to be like that.

All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost, the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From ashes a fire shall be woken, a light from the shadows shall spring, renewed shall be blade that was broken, the crown less again shall be king.

Elrond: I have come on behalf of whom I love. Arwen is dying.

She will not long survive as the evil spread through Mordor

The light of the Eevavstar is failing. As Sauron Power Grows her strength wanes.

Arwen life is tie to the fate of the Ring. The shadow is upon us Aragon. The end has come.
