Boaty, you don't 'need' a second car to use when your daily MAY be off the road. Netty should be your emergency second car if the need arises as it would be supposedly short term off the road for your daily. You're slipping into your old ways again. 😮🙄

A neighbor of mine raised a squirrel that was run over. It made a full recovery. She called him Stanley. Eventually she released him and he would come back to visit from time to time. Nice chap.

I really don't get your obsession with a second car when you have difficulty keeping one on the road...plus it seems you need bailing out regularly.

The,Astra 1.7 Diesel is slow if non turbo but this will make a very reasonable old shed for you. Very reliable old Isuzu lump! Reasonable choice .Much better than a small car too, top Bangernomics get in!! 😂

Except the police closed off Kew Bridge). Goodnight xx ✨ ✨

Imminent explosion is a definite bummer.

2002 Vauxhall Astra. That will be the 'Astra G' body style. 1.7 Isuzu diesel engine. Hope the car turns out to be a good one.

Jeremy Clarkson highly rated these in a 1998 road test on Old Top Gear. Suspension tuned by Lotus, so it should have decent ride and handling so long as the suspension is OK. Looking forward to seeing it.
