What I have come to discover is that this is a multi layered parable, representing not only Jesus’ first miracle, and as I have allude the prophecy of my return, given the exact name, date, time, and birth order, but because it is in Canaan it is also representative of the Waterbearer god. Had this miracle occurred anywhere else, like Bethlehem or Jerusalem or Jericho, then the narrative would have not had that much significance, but because the Canaanites worshipped the Water God El, it further gave heed to those who knew that this was the tribe who worshipped the star constellation Aquarius.

A good presentation; interesting, informative and easy to listen to.

Love the seminar.. Thanks

Thank you

Amazing thing is that this was Jesus first miracle, and the second was healing a noble mans son. These where both done in Cana, and shows Jesus Lord of both "time and Space", seeing it takes a long time (even years) for a "good wine" (as the master of the feast called it) to be made during fermentation, and then the healing of the boy took place 18 mile (distance or space) from Cana, even while Jesus was at Cana, as was observed by the Noble Mans servants !  John 4: 46-52.

Well put together. Lots to think about. Good teaching on this passage.

St. Augustine explains the meaning of the 6 jars in John 2:1–11: "Thence down to the time in which we are now living are six ages, this being the sixth, as you have often heard and know. The first age is reckoned from Adam to Noah; the second, from Noah to Abraham; and, as Matthew the evangelist duly follows and distinguishes, the third, from Abraham to David; the fourth, from David to the carrying away into Babylon; the fifth, from the carrying away into Babylon to John the Baptist; the sixth, from John the Baptist to the end of the world. Moreover, God made man after His own image on the sixth day, because in this sixth age is manifested the renewing of our mind through the gospel, after the image of Him who created us; and the water is turned into wine, that we may taste of Christ, now manifested in the law and the prophets. Hence there were there six water-pots, which He bade be filled with water. Now the six water-pots signify the six ages, which were not without prophecy. And those six periods, divided and separated as it were by joints, would be as empty vessels unless they were filled by Christ. Why did I say, the periods which would run fruitlessly on, unless the Lord Jesus were preached in them? Prophecies are fulfilled, the water-pots are full; but that the water may be turned into wine, Christ must be understood in that whole prophecy.”  St. Augustine of Hippo, Tractates on the Gospel of John (also called Homilies or Lectures on John), Tractate 9 (commenting on John 2), sections/paragraphs 6–7 and following.

11:09 Please note that some people do not drink any alcohol at all throughout their lives. There exist weddings without drop of alcohol and it is perfectly fine, but, maybe because the context of your culture and society you find that impossible to believe. This miracle has deep meanings. John 15:1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener."
Also, the jars were special items, used for cleaning only, not for drinking, this is not just a random thing.
This is also connected to Jesus's sacrifice.

Really informative 🙏🏾🤍

It shows Mary was seeking divine help as in she understood who her son really was. The Son of God. It shows the Spirit of God acted at the point of Jesus's will as He never spoke words to the jars of water to change to wine. We read elsewhere where the Roman soldier recognized Jesus's authority.
Also elsewhere in the testimony Jesus implied the works performed show that the Father is in Him and He in the Father. They are one. So who is He that the eternal Spirit of God acts on His will? The storms were made still, the blind received their sight. The crippled walked again and the dead were raised. He spoke as no other had spoken before and could not be outfoxed by all the craftiness of the Sanhedrin..

Amen that was a miracle ,water turned into wine...God is not the Author of confusion.

Amen

potentially his own wedding as in my understanding it was the groom that was supposed to provide the wine. Not fully disclosed due to the danger to "the lineage and family of a king". just a possibility imho

Thank you John!!!…..I always wondered how symbolic this miracle was?…..why John started this by saying(and the third day their was a marriage)…..kinda pointing torwards the resurrection…..thank you for taking your time!!

19:45 Didn't Jesus say that even He doesn't know the time of the Second Coming? He doesn't even know His Father's thoughts. So Mary was part of God's plan that Jesus was not aware of?

it was jesus's wedding with mary magdadalene.

So was the wine fermented?

Missed out there meaning of wine and water. Poor presentation
