I sometimes feel this way about my LDV 400, then I talk to someone with a modern diesel and suddenly old van problems seem less bad. Personally, why not old van? Parts availability, rust and lack of refinement are my main ones. Character, simplicity and individuality are the main pay offs. Love your channel dude.

Brilliant one Max. Safe Travels Mate 🙏

I would love to see some videos of you welding if possible a day in the life of a freelance welder would be so cool!

Catching up on the old videos
The matainance i enjoy watching and im looking for an old merc now for travel
Keep the videos coming Max 👍🏻

Old Mercedes diesels are the best you could buy at the time👌

They do sound great my old 307d motorhome was great to listen to when you where driving and now some time's I wish I hadn't sold her

Great channel.  I live in a 2001 FIat Ducato Motorhome "Poppy".  Not a sensor in sight and never had a problem.

Keep her going 👍

That title going to put me out of business!!

Praps the shed was playing the pipes. I tank you.

Out of all the old Vans these old Mercedes TN Diesels are reliable as you know rust is and always has been an issue, but for a 32 year old van this one owes you nothing and its still running good,. You will never get a modern van lasting 32 years now , hell most of them die mechanically now before100k miles especially these Transits and  Opel Peugeot Renault badge mash ups which I hate, but I do have a soft spot for VW Transporter Vans up to 2010 they just keep going, would not touch a modern Mercedes van especially those Vitos & Sprinters, they are designed to fail expensively their emission tech is over complicated and flawed.

I’d be interested to know where the park up was down that track

Old Merc buses go on forever properly looked after like any other van. Modern vans are over complicated and not built for longevity. You can do most things with a good bag of tools. You'll regret selling your van and now you can't find them as they are either scrapped for parts or exported where they do last forever.
Buy an old van, do the work yourself and save money in the long run by learning to do it properly.

Yea enjoyed it, I would love to own  something like that 👍

I have a Sprinter 2013 runs well but I would rather have a sprinter 2005.

Old is gold

That moment when you realise that you are the kid that got me to buy a narrowboat because you was helping your Mum. Grand designs lols. Now I have a micro camper lols . Thank you x

Oil in the fuel tank  I always add a litre sorts it out straight away

Finally A Vario owner who is mechanically save…..

Hi There

Always buy an old van just make sure body and mechanics are sound.

Your ticking sound add a litre of Automatic Gearbox Oil to the Engine.

For the fuel system put 100ml into the fuel tank

Let me know how you get on.

You don't really have to keep on top of Oil Changes on Old Vans..! They mostly use high Viscosity Oil, like 20W 50. It's the newer vans, you need to worry about. They use Low Viscosity Oil like 5W 30, you try doing 20,000 Miles -30,000 Miles between oil changes and the Oil turns to water and the Engine Seizes, Solid...! 🤔🤔😇😇
