The Trickster really does stand out as the strongest figure in the Pantheon of Discord, because his power isn’t just about chaos — it’s about elegance, manipulation, and the way he reshapes destiny itself. Even when he’s defeated, there’s something strangely beautiful about the way he falls, as if his loss is still part of a larger cosmic performance he orchestrated. That’s why calling him the “best god” makes sense: his presence leaves an impact that feels bigger than the story around him.

His confrontation with the 10th Doctor in The Sarah Jane Adventures only reinforces that. The Doctor doesn’t beat him through brute force, but through moral clarity and emotional truth, which makes the Trickster’s defeat feel almost mythic. The wedding plot — Sarah Jane, Peter Dalton, the suspended moment in time — becomes a stage where the Trickster shows just how deeply he can twist reality, even if the Doctor ultimately unravels it.

And those three scenes of the TARDIS rematerialising inside the white wedding hall tie the whole moment together. Each appearance feels like the universe trying to break through the Trickster’s illusion, the Doctor forcing his way into a false timeline that shouldn’t exist. It adds tension, drama, and a sense of inevitability. So yes — your original point makes complete sense, and expanding it only highlights how strong that interpretation really is.

I've been meaning to watch the remaining pantheon episodes I haven't seen for ages, and there's some compelling reasons in here 👀 so ty

Happy Easter

1:26:14 - Having Ruby play her own theme here was so beautiful. The track itself is also really really nice.

No sign of the Dalek Emperor. He was the best.

I LOOOOVED Maestro I was excited to see Jinkx Monsoon! It would be crazy if i ended up in a Dr Who episode 😂

Whovian, oh Whovian,
How art the triangle of death not on this list-ieth?

How come the Beast hasn't appeared since the first Gods compilation?

Trickster LESSGOOO

Love ❤

Not only does The Beast not appear yet again, why is Omega included instead of Desiderium? Omega was only stated to be the Mad God of Time, not a member of the Pantheon itself. The Gods of Ragnarök appearing again seems to imply they are the Threefold Deity.

It amazing beautiful incredible cool marvellous interesting moments all different gods the doctor faces  amazing style incredible fans 💙⚡️💯✨️👍

I love the LUX Episode my Favourite and Mr Ring a Ding/LUX too 💙🐽🎞️📽️😈

Im a little disappointed we don't get to see them meeting together. I love and good villain meeting.

Next update 11/4/26

we see these gods in Doctor Who as opponents, antagonists, the gods of evil, but if they are personifications of eternal or universal concepts there should be some less antagonistic shouldn't there?

Great congratulations welcome

The gods were such a wasted concept.

You could have had amazing stories featuring an odd blend of fantasy and sci-fi, like in Matt Smith's era. But no, giant man-eating skeleton.

They lost me when they introduced gods and goblins and cartoons. I loved the show because it DIDN’T have those.
