I havent watched anything about it since 2022. Even after 2 years i still find myself in tears while watching this.😢

i’m currently living in seoul and went to itaewon for dinner with friends. we were walking and i started feeling weird, like the air was very heavy, another friend of mine felt the same, when we looked back we noticed we had just walked down the alleyway where this tragedy happened

Even after watching this video again i still cant stop myself from crying

I remember when this happened. I was watching a live stream of a person who went to itaewon for Halloween. During the stream, all of a sudden, chaos and yelling started happening.the  stream showed people pushing other people and a little bit of the events that happened.
After that it Then  came on the news about what had happened. The news showed people climbing on top of each other and up onto building, trying to get out.
U seen people laying on the floor unconscious or trying to breath with other people by their side. They even showed all the deceased lined up in a row with sheets over them.

It was such a horrible and tragic event.💔

A korean actor named lee ji han who was 24 at the time was on his way home from filming for a kdrama.he lived around the area.
On his way home  he seen that a little girl was caught up in the crowd.he went and saved the girl but in the process lost his life. 😢

This case really got to me. It’s so horrible just thinking abt the people who went through this much less imagining the pain, fear, and confusion these people had to suffer.

Coming back here after watching the Astroworld tragedy on Netflix😞😞😞this shit’s scary bro. (New fear unlocked)

This Halloween in itaewon is normal, it happens every year, in fact, while 2022 Halloween in itaewon was big, I feel like 2016 and 2017 were some of the biggest crowds I saw there. I have been living in Korea since 2012 and been to many itaewon Halloween celebrations.

2022 was very very unplanned from the normal Halloween celebration in itaewon. For instance, many years from 2015-2019 on the main road of Itaewon when getting out if itaewon station there was usually police officers every 50m and police buses lining the streets, there is was also many booths that had people doing face paintings, there were lots of kids and families during the times of 7-10pm to go get face paintings and see the costumes (it was not just a booze fest), they also had the alley to the left of hamilton hotel for foot traffic going up and the alley more to the right of the hotel for foot traffic going down. There was also usually like taped off area to make sure the crowds were going correctly. 2022 was really uncoordinated and not usual to the Halloween celebrations before.

That being said, I have not been back to Itaewon proper since that day. I think the last time I tried was in 2023 my friend and I meant to go, but when we past by the alley in the taxi we had taken to itaewon we couldn’t get out and told the driver to take us to hongdae instead.

I've never been this early to a Mango Monday before!  This story still brings me to tears, t was so awful how it was handled. Loving the reactions. Thanks for the awesome content guys.

Like they should prevent people to dress up like nurses or police for like situations like this or emergencies

BRO I remember the day this happen, i remember seeing videos from lkke 1 hour ago on tiktok of what was currently going on it was crazy, it felt like yesterday when this happend its crazy that its almost 3 years ago

I seen all the videos people who were in that crowd crush as it happened that they posted on tiktok and twitter. Them videos i will never get those images out of my head. I will never forget the video of the crowd crush happening while i spotted like 6 people already blue and lifeless while stuck next to people panicking trying to get out of the crowd crush. And the music they kept using as BGM for those videos makes me nauseous everytime i hear it. So i couldn’t imagine the trauma what the people who were there experienced and have.

@16:29 literally twice concert in 2022 i fricking waited until everyone left the building bro i couldnt and it was summer

I really! Feel like if the first 911 call that was made at 6:30 p.m. had been taken seriously and dispatchers sent some police out there or if there had been police out there in the beginning then this horrible and terrible and awful tragedy would have been prevented in my opinion
