Jaiden: "My first memory as a child is being strapped down with belts to a chair."

Me: "That's called school"

6:57 this is why they tell you at a good dentist office to not eat anything until the numbness completely wears off

Jaiden: Scared
Her Emotions: Overdose on Valium, Laugh like a maniac and fall into a table full of needles.

lmao <(-V-)>

I just had my wisdom teeth removed today, all four of them at once (27 now), and it went similarly to how Jaiden's procedure was, but still different.
I had local anesthesia, so I was awake during the procedure, but they only spent about 30 minutes on removing my teeth (they sawed the bottom 2 which were covered by flesh, the top ones were free and easy to pick out) and maybe 15-20 minutes on scanning my jaw and giving me the anesthetics before the procedure.
So for me it took less than an hour in total, which I had not expected, I thought it was gonna be AT LEAST an hour.
The teeth had not bothered me the whole time I've had them, except for a very few rare times where the top ones scraped a bit against my cheeks, and then a year ago the bottom ones suddenly started to feel slightly sore, but after like a week or two of that they stopped and felt fine again.
But all four were in a situation that they had to all get removed, and tho my mom thought it was a bad idea to get them all removed at once, I held my ground and got them all out at once.
And so far the recovery is going really well, due to just being local anesthesia and numbness and not being knocked out.
I did decide to wait with eating anything until the numbness went completely away tho and I could feel my jaws and tongue, and I am just eating ice cream and cold soup right now, I would NOT risk eating chewy food yet, much less strawberries that resemble the tongue in texture! xD
I did eat a good portion of oatmeal for breakfast beforehand so I wasn't hungry until like half an hour before the numbness was low enough for me to eat safely.
I'm also not feeling any pain, a bit tightness and discomfort when I open my jaw, but when closed or slightly open it's fine, just a little sore.
Not enough that I feel like needing pain meds tho, which I am happy with and hope it continues like this until I fully recover. :)
And thus I thought it was fitting to rewatch this video to compare experiences xD

My brain was like “dude chill”
And my body was like “REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”

“I’m excited to not be conscious!”

Jaiden: "I'm not scared of much!"

Also Jaiden: *makes 2 videos on all the things she's scared of*

Edit: Why did I spell it “Jayden” when I know it’s “Jaiden”? I have no idea… anyway, thanks to everyone for correcting my mistake!

Rewatching this video after my trip to the dentist cuz I have a cavity. I still have to go back in November cuz this filling is only a temporary one. And I can't eat on my right side. And I was also terrified in the waiting room. When I got the injection to numb that side of my face the dentist literally asked me ,,are you alright?" cuz I'm pretty sure she could feel my heart rate just pick up immediately. My mom claims she heard them say ,,you can go outside to cry" when I was told to go back to the waiting room so the numbness can fully set in.

Jaiden: So what, I'm just gonna be fully conscious while you needle, and drill, and probe my mouth

Nurse: Yes.

Employee: "We don't do that here."

Me: "I see. Please give me the phone number of somewhere that does."

“And the quote of the decade goes to Jaiden!”

“I’m excited not to be conscious.”

Watching this vid the day I get my wisdom teeth out really helped! Still one of my fav childhood storytime animators <3

6:11 “I’m not scared of much...” flashbacks to Things That Freak Me Out and Irrational Fears videos

3:53 fun fact: this is called laughing gas (aka nitrous oxide) and it's supposed to slow the nerves down in dental patients. Now after they use the gas the patient doesn't remember anything after, but it does have a side effect where the patient has a loopy feeling and will say random stuff

You go to the dentist and your brains like:

“Ooh a letter!”

“What does it say?”

ANXIETY HAS ENTERED THE CHAT

I'd like the dentist Like the dentist If you don't like the dentist Dehydration

Dentist: pulls out needle

6 yr old me: now this is a avengers level threat

Dentist: Cuts my mouth
Me: Bleeds
Dentist: "You need to floss more"

For me, “You’ll be fine” makes me feel worse.

I don’t mind going to the Dentist, they just freak me out with how aggressive they can be.

“Wow, the toothfairy been scammin me for years” 2:35
