Last time I had hair down to my waist, people were always so confused when I told them I didn't own a hair brush. I took "be gentle with your hair" to the extreme back then and got ridiculously good at detangling my hair with just my fingers.

Nowadays I do own a wet brush, but I only use on dry hair. I do detangle my hair in the shower but only with my fingers and a lot of conditioner to give it some slip.

I also have fine hair... until now I never realized how much beautiful fine hair could be... thank you so much...

As a type 4 hair girlie, you opened my eyes with the ‘no scalding hot water to wash your hair’ thing. All the natural hair girlies never mentioned this and you’re the first one, but it makes sense since I’m trying to avoid heat altogether. Thank you❤

ever since watching this video I have started washing my hair less and stopped heat and learned hairstyles! I find I actually get clean hair now that im intentional and slow because I can set up a day and take my time, I have also never realized how fun braiding is I love playing with my hair! thank you!

a hair dryer on air only or low heat at an appropriate distance can actually be less damaging than air drying depending on the hair type and what u need to do while ur hair is drying since hair is most fragile when its wet i cant remember all the details but there was actually a study on it

If you have textured hair but don’t want to wash it everyday do a spray bottle with cold water

very similar hair type, buuut unfortunately mine is way more oily. i’ve tried washing every other day, but I would get awful dandruff and noticed my hair falling out a lot. so to my other fine hair girlies, it is 100% okay to wash everyday if that’s what your hair needs

Girly i agree, i pull my hair back with a clip to wash my body in hot water but use lukewarm for shampooing and cold/room temp for conditioning!

Thank you for telling us that you have to wash more now that you have stopped coloring your hair. I thought it was my imagination. It seems like the longer the top part of my hair grows out from color, I’ve had to wash it just a little bit more than I used to. Glad to know it’s not just me.

i have wavy hair that doesn't take product well so i have to use warm water to help it with absorption. however the emphasis is on WARM water, still not hot. also yes, curly/wavy people, we need to brush/detangle our hair when it is wet!! it will reduce breakage

I never had difficulty keeping the length on my dyed hair, but now that the dye has all grown out I can't seem to get my hair to grow.
It's surprisingly hard to find a video of someone with long, fine hair strands so thanks a lot😊 very helpful
