It’s frustrating. I know the words in my head, exactly what I know to say, but cannot get the words out.i can’t speak at all 😒

I'm a retired Home Health Aide, and work with stroke patients, in-service training help us alot to work with this disability. The basic are in my patients care book. One on one is the best for non verbal people. I brought a book, by M ark littleman a speech and language pathologist, my son is autistic I got no help thank goodness for training.

After a seizure I sometimes get fluent aphasia (I cannot understand speech, or writing, or symbols like traffic lights).  Luckily it typically lasts for only about 20 minutes (although once it went on for several hours).  It is very frightening.  I have been to the doctor but they can’t seem to do anything.  They just said it is mild epilepsy and not to drive.

I have a lesion on my left thalamus from encephalitis when I was a kid I have a hard time understanding things. I have a speech therapist and we are doing reading comprehension to help it. I hate yes or no questions tho cause I'm afraid of being wrong
