We rode the Imst Alpine Coaster in Austria, one of the longest in the world at 2.22 miles with amazing mountain views! What makes it the longest pure downhill coaster is that the entire 3.5 km track is all downhill (unlike the one in Andorra that includes the uphill section in its total length). You take a relaxing 10-minute gondola ride up the mountain first. The ticket (gondola + coaster) cost us about $26 each.

At the top, we rode it down without ever using the brakes at all. The ride down lasted 5 minutes 55 seconds of nonstop adrenaline.

if you are the first on the ride like in the video here, you can go full throttle. if you are not the first on the ride and have other people in front of you departing, then you are responsible for not crashing into the riders, which are talking a normal speed/casual apporach to the ride. it has good reasons, why they are riding on slower speed. per example if they have their little children with them, you cant go all out with a kid on the ride. The distance rule at such rides isnt there for fun, its serious for safety and there are a lot of braking signs as well at the track, which arent there for fun either. and there is a sign at the start too, which saiys "you can be charged for driving too close up to another rider" These Signs are not there for fun, its serious safety stuff!
