Right in the same boat with you, and my collection is very small in comparison. I went through a reflection and realization of just how influential the Tarottube space had become for me in a negative, capitalistic way. I went through a culling to finetune my deck army and now feel fully aligned with each deck. Youre definitely not alone in feeling "the madness" of tarot collecting (term coined by Mary Grace Fahrun). I'm glad to see the discussions being had, thank you for sharing ❤😊❤

Take it back!   I'm here with you!

I actually love the edit you did with the Solara Occulta tarot ❤

I bought fabric labels that you can write on with a marker.  I got them from Amazon.   I use these to label my bags so I know what's in them at a glance .

i’ve also bought a deck because it was very hyped online! it had many great qualities, but turned out to be not so much my artwork preference. it was a good and early lesson though, in realising i need to follow my own tastes, even if they’re not the most popular ones.🥰

Hi Silvia! I advise to paint borders with a permanent oil marker, one by one. It doesn’t vanish, looks and feels better

It seems that the Carnival at the End of the World Tarot is available in the 2nd edition.

I have only heavily modified two decks. I trimmed the borders off of a Radiant RWS deck and a Robin Wood deck. I additionally put new backs on the Robin Wood because I really REALLY hate the original back.  I had to toss the box for the Robin Wood as it was then much thicker and would not fit in the original box any longer. Fortunately they are both still widely available for purchase if I ever change my mind, but I am happy with the mods I made.  I was much happier using those decks after the modifications. I just bought a second copy of the Circular RWS to modify the colors of because I'm not thrilled with the original coloring of the artwork, but did not want to risk ruining the only copy I owned, because I waited forever for someone to come out with a round RWS.

My grandmother was named Olga. I am dying to get that deck and truly hope she will bring it back.

Oooh girl I need to see more people do this video just because it's such a good warning. In the end, I love that we all do what we want with our decks. I also sometimes modify indie decks. I am mostly happy that I have always loved borders (haha!) and only ever trimmed off all the borders of a deck maybe twice in my life. I also remember people trimming borders and then using a huge corner rounder which means they ended up with practically round decks which I hated the look of. I think actually I might be more comfortable modifying an indie deck over a vintage one... What do you think?

I kept all of my tarot deck original boxes. Ones that I don’t use will give out as a giveaway for when I get higher subscribers. Good way to give to good homes.

Re the solar tarot, maybe you could take a micron pen and write the titles back on the cards that are difficult for you? And instead of trimming the edges again, it might be some fine sandpaper on the sides you handle it might be enough to tame the glitter. 😅 it's a lovely deck

Hi Sylvia! Thank you for sharing! I've found that Artistro acrylic paint markers glide over the top of previous edging nicely, and they're inexpensive. Maybe that will work over trimming again if you can get them over there! Also, trying to shuffle an unevenly trimmed deck is the worst! I have the same regrets. 💜💜

Like you, I can’t remember what deck is in which bag, so I’ve kept them in the boxes. Relieved now that I’ve only thrown away a couple of the boxes. I have also bought a deck or two due to tarot tube pressure, and I’ve rehomed both. Hopefully I’ve learned my lesson so that I stop and consider whether or not the deck really resonates with me, and has a use in my practice.

Smoke Ash and Embers is the only Three Trees Tarot i dont have...i have managed to avoid the fomo lol

I have to admit, I have nö regrets so far. I have never modified a deck so far nor did I throw away a Box because I know I would heavily regret this at one point.
I deeply regret that I have not enough time to do all the studies I'd love to do 😊
Are you planing something special for Spooktober?? 🎉
I am eyeing on Sony Graves Oracle which came out mass market. 🤩
wishing you a wonderful upcoming week 🥰🙋🏻‍♀️

I heavily modify many of my decks.   These are my public reader decks and I love the mods.  I work with those modified decks more than any others.... so.... sometimes?  It can work out ok 😊
