George saved me from the bottomless pit of alcoholism. I love this man and his songs.

George does another one I like - "I drink alone" highly recommended

He's a great blues guitarist and has a pretty substantial catalog of hits. This version has always been my favorite of this song. Keep up the good work, love the channel!

Another classic song, next to "Bad to the Bone" and "I Drink Alone"

"Look Maaaan ...." burned into my neurons forever.

This was a back road beer drinking song in the 80s!! 💜 At least for my friends 🤣

Three of my music heroes have baseball connections. George Thorogood was once a second baseman for the semi-pro Delaware Destroyers. Once read that he built a baseball field on his property. Joan Jett is another musician who is a baseball fan. I once heard Joan do a guest spot on a radio broadcast for the Baltimore Orioles. Finally, Duke Ellington was a terrific baseball player (as well as a painter).

He's one of the guys I wish I had seen in concert but never did. Darn!

I saw them in concert in a bar, years ago. This song brought the house down.

It's really 2 John Lee Hooker songs in 1. "House Rent Boogie" and "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer."

Gin is a love/hate kind of thing. For me, it's super refreshing in a Tom Collins on a hot summer day.

He had other great songs hardly ever played on the radio called You Talk Too Much and Steady Rollin' Man, and many others. They wear this one out on classic rock radio.

This is actually a combo of two old blues songs...
Hey, It's the House Rent Boogie!
Song- John Lee Hooker
And
One Bourbon, One scotch, one beer- John Lee Hooker
