This video was so incredibly helpful. I was engraving on this exact cup and was struggling with the curved surface. In addition to that, I was questioning how I was going to ensure the positioning of the engrave would remain consistent across several cups. Just wanted to share a QUICK TIP from my side: instead of using tape, try pulling a bright nitrile rubber GLOVE over the glass. It saves a ton of time during prep!

As for the RA3 attachment, it works very well, but for conical or curved shapes, you need to break the project down into stages by diameter and engrave them separately, adjusting the focal length for each section.

Also, here is a quick way to save the job if a small detail (like the tail of the letter 'j') doesn't engrave properly on a curve because the glass dipped 1 mm lower:
1. Don't touch the glass: The golden rule: do not move, rotate, or adjust the glass in the rotator!
2. Convert to curves: Convert the text to paths.
3. Masking in the software: Draw a rectangle over the part of the text that engraved correctly and use the Subtract function to remove the already completed section.
4. Re-engrave: Leave only the missing piece (e.g., just the tail of the 'j'), adjust the focal length for that specific spot, and run the laser just for that piece.

It's a quick fix without having to redo the whole glass!
