In this gripping episode of Storytellers, Santiago Segovia welcomes Abel to the studio, where he reveals, without filters, the dark decision that changed his life forever. After spending months in abject poverty in San Luis Potosí—singing on buses without speakers to scrape together a few pesos and eating nopales for weeks on end—need pushed him to the breaking point.
In a cantina, a mysterious woman reading tarot cards gave him the "key" used by the great singers of yesteryear to achieve success through a pact. That same morning, in the midst of an argument and overcome with frustration, Abel offered his soul with a single condition: prosperity for his children and life until he was 65.
From that moment on, financial success arrived like an inexplicable cascade. From selling burritos from a cooler, he went on to control industrial cafeterias, fleets of cars, and commercial properties in Ramos Arizpe. Abel recounts his eerie nightly visits to the Burnt Mill to give thanks in the dark, the visions of eyeless bulls and horses in his dreams, and why he claims not to regret the price he will have to pay.
Episode Chapters:
00:00 Desperation and the dangers of pacts with darkness.
02:36 Extreme poverty and eating nopales for a week in Monterrey.
04:17 Singing on buses to survive and buy milk for his children.
10:26 The strange woman who revealed the "secret" to success.
14:27 Desperation after a family crisis and the invocation in the solitude of his room.
16:08 "I offered my soul in exchange for stability, asking to die at exactly 65 years old."
17:24 The sudden increase in income and the mysterious economic boom through singing. 19:21 From selling 30 burritos to managing an industrial cafeteria and opening restaurants.
22:11 A former customer recognizes him and asks if he sold his soul to the devil.
24:44 Visiting the Burnt Mill in total darkness with offerings for the entity.
29:20 The fear of growing old, being a burden, or ending up abandoned in a hospital.
32:06 Panthers, bulls, and a two-headed woman who demands he strive for more.
40:04 The true gift he received and why his ideas always succeed.
42:48 The looming fear of hell and his warning to young people about easy money.
48:59 Acknowledgments and announcement of Abel's next YouTube project.

Soy feliz. Bendito Dios .
Dios le ayude a este hombre.
santificado sea tu Nombre;
venga a nosotros tu Reino;
hágase tu voluntad, en la tierra como en el cielo.
Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día;
perdona nuestras ofensas,
como también nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden;
