Timeline: The boys have become friends with Severus, but haven't yet joined the PS. They're in their sixth year.

In Regulus's fourth year, he and James developed a secret friendship. No one knew about it, not even Sirius.
Gradually, it became clear that James was in love with Regulus, and when he confessed, Regulus decided to end their friendship, not wanting to run into each other again.
After this, Potter pursued Lily Evans, despite still harboring an unrequited crush on Regulus.
Black, in turn, told his friends, Barty and Evan, about this secret friendship and confession.
Regulus rejected Potter because he wasn't in love with him back, and ended their friendship because he still harbored a childhood resentment toward the boy who took his older brother away from him. Potter himself would also find it difficult to be friends because of his crush.

Regulus and Evan became friends with Severus. They developed a good relationship.
And in their fifth year, Regulus and Barty began dating. Their group grew: Regulus, Barty, Evan, Severus, Pandora, and Dorcas.

Later, Regulus, Barty, and Evan joined the ranks of the P.S. As it turned out, so did Severus. But they soon realized they didn't accept the ideology of the Dark Lord and his supporters. To save themselves and the others, they devised a plan to weaken, if not kill, him.
The rest of their group assisted them, and together they prevented Regulus's death and also destroyed most of the Horcruxes the Lord was creating at the time.
Their actions didn't go unnoticed; Dumbledore personally appeared before them, wanting to help destroy the remaining Horcruxes. Thus, they killed Voldemort, also preventing his return in the future.

* Barty dislikes the Marauders; in this, he and Severus share a common interest. The two men also managed to get along thanks to Regulus, though they continue to tease each other jokingly. Evan doesn't care about the Marauders as long as they don't hurt him or his friends. And when Barty wants to tease them, he joins in.

* The Marauders bullied Severus, so the boys had even more reason to dislike them and bully them.

* The girls (Pandora and Dorcas) were surprised, but quickly got along with Severus.

* Pandora will survive and raise her daughter with her husband (Luna).
Regulus is very close to his nephew Draco.

The moment Draco joins the ranks of the PS will be shown, as will Reg's death (likely a different outcome).
But this won't happen, because the boys will kill Volodya before Draco is even born.
