These make me feel less crazy

I say "ow" when I drop something. Reflex, I guess. I also say ow when I bump into something when it didn't hurt at all. I dont apologize to inanimate objects.

I love how you think I put my clothes in the hamper. Right on the floor, baby!

Its crazy to think all those thoughts, doubts, you have are all psychological means

We crack eggs in the center because if you need to separate your egg, you’ll have a little “cup” for the yellow part.

Need these videos in dark mode 😎

Thank you so much for your video.

I normally tell furniture to ef off rather than apologise. Me and my furniture are not friends 🤣

17:21 when I first figured this out I was so irritated.
Then I started mapping out my list according to the layout of the grocery store. I started saving $ then. 😁

1:16  Silent?!? Naw…. It’s more like “Aaaaand the crowd goes WIIILLLDDD!!! AAAAHHHHH!!!” 😊

Perfect timing i need to sleep

Apology to furniture... hell no. I cuss it out for being in my way!

I've always cringed every time someone says "Everything happens for a reason."  That is one of the dumbest sayings ever. I notice people usually only say it when something good happens. Could you imagine someone saying this to the mother of a 3 year old who was just diagnosed with brain cancer? What would THAT reason be? People say stupid things for NO reason.

3:20 The sabretooth tiger busting its head through your bathroom window isn't a cute joke when it's actually happened to you. Now I don't mean-mug the mirror because it will literally melt the glass and those big mirrors aren't cheap

Well, well done!

I say Ow every time I bump into something or the wall.  I say Thank you and Please to Siri and Alexa. I also do the #1 on the list. I sit in the car and play a level on my game. I’m avoiding my family for 15 minutes.

This video, Things Everyone Does When Nobody Is Watching, explores the quirky, often irrational, yet universal habits humans perform when alone. The content is broken down into several themes, including private behaviors, motivational misconceptions, and the psychological impact of design and marketing.

Private Quirks (0:00 - 7:24):
We all engage in strange solitary habits that reveal our underlying psychology, such as:
Inanimate Object Apologies: Reflexively saying sorry to furniture we bump into due to hyperactive agency detection (0:00).
The Olympic Garment Toss: Treating simple chores like laundry as high-stakes athletic events to gain micro-doses of accomplishment (0:50).
The Dramatic Trash Smash: Using "trash compactor protocol" to avoid taking out the bin, feeling a sense of victory against spatial geometry (1:37).
Mirror Threat Assessment: Auditing our own physical appearance and "toughness" in the mirror when unobserved (2:34).
Silent Auditions & Ghost Rehearsals: Performing for imaginary audiences or winning old arguments in our heads to manage emotional tension (3:26, 5:39).
Invisible Obstacle Course: Our nervous system reverting to "cartoon physics" and hypervigilance when walking through an empty home (4:23).
Squeegee Sprint: The "transition paralysis" of sitting in the car after arriving home, allowing the brain to power down before facing household obligations (6:33).

Motivational Lies (7:24 - 15:47):
Common life advice often ignores psychological realities, such as the sunk cost fallacy behind "never give up" (7:24) or the Dunning-Kruger effect involved in "believing in yourself" (9:10). The video argues that passion is often a result of competence rather than its cause (8:08) and that hard work increases odds but never guarantees outcomes (10:03).

Psychological Manipulation (15:47 - 24:32):
Marketers and environments subtly control behavior through:
Color Psychology: Using red/yellow to trigger appetite (15:52).
Scent Scams: Pumping engineered scents into retail spaces to influence mood (20:04).
Packaging Spells: Using weight and material quality to make consumers perceive higher value (23:54).

Accidental Inventions & Traditions (24:32 - 40:46):
Many things we rely on were never intended for their current use, such as:
Standard Shipping Containers: Invented for efficiency, they accidentally enabled globalized consumerism (24:32).
Plastic Bags: Originally designed as an eco-friendly alternative to paper (26:41).
The "Hello" Phone Greeting: A marketing victory by Thomas Edison over Alexander Graham Bell’s preferred "Ahoy" (33:41).
Clock Faces: The clockwise arrangement is a remnant of Northern Hemisphere sundial shadows (40:08).

Instincts and Body Responses (40:46 - 56:53):
The video also explains social cues we use to judge others, like the "eyebrow flash" (40:46) or "gaze hold errors" (44:01), alongside weird biological glitches like "eye floaters" (53:53) and déjà vu (55:51).

Aesthetic Inflation (56:53 - 1h4m57s):
Finally, the video notes how ordinary items—like mason jars (56:53), disposable cameras (59:20), and thrift store clothing (1:01:18)—have become significantly more expensive solely because they became "aesthetic" markers.

I've never apologized to an inanimate object. I've called em a bunch of 💩. Never apologized.

Funny. My passion isn't painting but I became a house painter for the money at the time and now I don't think it's my passion but I do get a rush of dopamine when I finish and the house looks amazing.

I guess these are generalizations. Some of these I’ve witnessed but have never done, others i do but not for the reasons given . Fake it till you make it to me means pay attention when you are out of your league and try to learn as fast as possible.
