My thoughts are as a man if you knew this was going to be a deal breaker why pursue me in the first place. It's giving dangling the carrot of marriage in exchange for changed behavior. It would have been easier to just pursue someone who does not drink. If this is not a personal conviction of hers what happens if she turns back to it. Now they have problems in their marriage because it was never that deep to her before

No thank you… if someone said that to me a year into dating me, and they already knew I did drink from time to time, I will not be put into an ultimatum. What happens if later on I have a glass of champagne at a family gathering or something? No thanks. We can find people that fit the both of us better. This person sounds potentially controlling/manipulative.

Both beats are 🔥. Can you use Both just like you did? Beat 1 for the lyric and beat 2 for the hook. That would be like an ode to the early 90s hip hop (Tribe Called Quest) when they would switch up the beats for the lyric and hook. That would be dope.

It’s manipulative to say “God has a call on your life and your drinking is holding you back” … unless you are getting sloppy drunk , or you are a “different person” then yeah …idk if he knows that he’s being manipulative though so be mindful though I’m not saying your partner is manipulative I’m saying the statement is

This sounds like a small issue that will turn into a bigger one later on. His conviction is different from hers when it comes to drinking so it’s bigger than something like an aesthetic preference. It seems like he’s saying he cannot be married to someone who drinks because he believes it’s sinful. She’s willing to give it up because it’s not a big deal to her which is commendable but I think it would be best if their convictions were aligned in this area first. I would also be curious to know if it’s just drinking that he has an issue with.

Also, both beats sounded perfect exactly how you did it.

Yvette’s eyes at 49:17 had me 😂 The beat was fire, and Glen is a true lyricist. I honestly liked both beats. That transition was so smooth—it almost felt like it was telling a story. Like you start off chasing the girl, then the vibe softens once you finally catch her attention.
