Nekrasov, Nikolai Alekseevich (1821–1877) — a prominent Russian poet.
Nekrasov began his career as a theater critic and playwright. While his poetry is well known today, his dramatic work is much less well-known. During his lifetime, the author himself did not include his plays in collected editions, although most of them enjoyed considerable success in their day.

The one-act comedy "Autumn Boredom" is a groundbreaking work for its time, the mid-1840s. Nekrasov's creative method, which depicted the everyday flow of life in his play, was further developed in Chekhov's dramaturgy half a century later.
