The Black Cauldron finally gets to be represented

I like that the model of the new coaster actually resembles the initial concept art

I wondered if the Tokyo Disneyland Castle Mystery Tour would serve as a spring board for any elements of Villains Land

We’re never gonna see Shanghai Pirates technology here in the U.S. are we?!🙄🙃

As someone who actually really likes the black cauldron, I’m really glad it’s getting representation in this land. The horned king is a scary character… I am disappointed that we’re not getting a boat ride as the dark ride and instead of using that Spider-Man style ride system instead. I’m sure it’ll still be good, but I was really hoping we were gonna get the Shanghai Pirates boat Tech finally.

The skull could be Captain Hook for skull rock…or Hades and a nod to his skull headed lair

ditto about everything you said regarding disney overthinking the lore of this land. did they not learn from galaxy’s edge?😹😹

Love the update. This is definitely the most anticipated land expansion ever for WDW and there is so much we don’t know. Can’t wait til 2028 D23 when we’ll probably get a pretty big update on its final plan.

Disney play tests in public. The show in Muppetland, the cruise ship lounges and meet and greets. They are both exactly what we can expect. We are meeting the Villains in their Catskills.

It just seems like they will be giving “live action remake” makeovers to all of the meet and greet characters in that area and the ones that are “owners” of the different shops. It seems they’re just trying to ground the whole area in a similar visual style despite having villains from a variety of mediums since it is all brand new as opposed to piecemeal like other lands. Much like fantasy land is built as a castle with grounds and a village around it, all of the different fairytale houses are different attractions.

Nostalgia is Disney's secret weapon. If they abandon the classic characters for "reinvented" ones, I think it would be a grave mistake (pun intended). We have come to "love to hate" the most popular villains we know. And, to change or alter them to suit a new realm in the park is a foolish gamble.

The black cauldron, then gained a cult following .

Just say it. The Headless Horseman Head. Thats the rest room next to the HM between the lands. After that you hit the evil trees.

Some think that the mirror ride is based off a canceled “Bald Mountain” ride.

I think that skull fortress could be for hook. It’s giving skull rock. And he is included in that villain show in HS which I think was soft launching/market research for those villians

@AlexLong-g9z 14 hours ago

I think they’re just going to heighten the villains’ outfits. From the three artistic examples of Cruella, Dr. Facilier, and the evil Queen, you can clearly tell which of those three characters they are, and they kept the same basic silhouettes and color schemes, but just heightened them with more elegant embroidery and designs and fabric patterns. And with all the villains being grouped together into one community, I think the suspension of belief would already be established with Maleficent being across the street from the evil Queen and being next-door to maybe Ursula or Hades.

remember when people are mad about loosing ROA. but we getting 3 new e tickets out of it lmao

@audreychilders2577 15 hours ago

I hope they make a documentary about its construction

@DrummerAndHisDog 14 hours ago

Ah I hope they have the Headless Horseman chase you at the end of the villains ride. I mean I doubt it, but it’d be really cool.

@williamkennedy9735 13 hours ago

I honestly don't think they're gonna be all that different. The updated costumes is pretty cool, but it still has the heart of the character. It's not like how Frankenstein looks nothing like Frankenstein over at Universal Studios. And how Dracula looks nothing like Dracula." I think it's going to be a unique take cause I think we're now in their realm and of course they'd be a little different in their own realm. And I really don't think they're gonna make the mistake of Star Wars galaxies edge being based on the new really low quality Star Wars movies.
