Autumn is here in New England, and soup, stew, and chowder season is upon us! This week, I'm making an old-fashioned New England haddock chowder, using fresh haddock, garden herbs, and a traditional recipe inspired by generations of New England cooking.
I'll be harvesting and drying herbs from the garden, preparing homemade fish chowder, and sharing a few thoughts on what makes a traditional New England chowder. I'm also adding a little Falloween decorating around Sugarwood, from a gathering of crows in the garden to autumn garlands and Halloween touches in the kitchen.
Along the way, I'll share a peek inside the autumn edition of Letters from Sugarwood, a quick tutorial on how to subscribe to YouTube channels while watching on television, and a little evening walk with Ben and Willow.
Thank you for joining me for another week of fine living here in New England!
With love from New England,
Linda
