That last bit you said really sent a chill down my spine. Perpetrators use the religion as a quick fix for the harm they cause and then terrorize their victims into staying where they are with the use of eternal damnation. I was born and raised Evangelical as well and I’ve personally had trouble completing leaving Christianity because the fear is so deeply entrenched. So, even though the Bible has so many horrible things in it, I find a part of me thinking “but what if they’re right?” It’s absolutely terrifying. I just can’t get behind a god who can excuse extreme harm as long as the person committing the harm believes in him but can’t forgive a literal child who doesn’t even know about god and therefore can’t believe in him. 💔

It is absolutely laughable that these people think that they can debate atheists when they segregate themselves! What do you mean you're Muslim not Christian? What do you mean you're Christian not Catholic? What do you mean you hold to the New Testament not the Old? How is it that you are all worshiping the same God and yet try really hard to make yourself distinct from other people supposedly worshiping the same God? It's an absolute joke and then they want to argue for objective morality, are you serious?

Imagine if we lived in a world where a significant number of people sincerely believed Santa was real. You went to their house at Christmas and they'd smile and look at each other with tear-filled eyes, saying how grateful they were that Santa Claus is coming soon with complete sincerity, and they'd look at YOU, as a non-believer, asking how do you live your life without acknowledging Santa?!?!?

Well, that's probably about 90% of theists out there. They aren't in the CULT because they believe it, they're in the CULT because they recognize that even hinting at doubting or leaving the CULT will cause the CULTIST MEMBERS to direct their VIOLENT tendencies mandated by their CULT LEADERS onto the HEATHEN NON-BELIEVER who has BETRAYED GOD THE ALMIGHTY!!!!
Better to sneak away in the night and just LEAVE THE CULT in the dust, rather than be a hybrid theist/atheist and continue to live the lie.

I really liked this one. Funny though that he was upset about the mega churches in the us, when he is part of the cult that has a church that literally, as in factually, is it's own sovereign state. Wild.
