Call of Duty tries experimenting with new modes every single year. But unfortunately almost none of them survive long enough to get a follow up, and even less are even remembered enough to populate a lobby these days. These are the stories of those brave modes lost to time...

WAR on World at War is the greatest cod game mode ever created. Able to play huge maps at 5 different POIs throughout the game. I miss it dearly.

My favourite mode has always been headquarters. It starts of as king of the hill but as soon as someone gets the objective, it turns into a survival mode for the defenders

bro literally predicted Black Ops Classic

9:12 bro basically predicted the COD Classic mode. I think the devs actually watched that part of the video

Old School Mode in COD4 was meant to bring in the '90s Arena Shooter' crowd. The whole point was to create gameplay similar to Quake or Unreal Tournament. Faster movement, slower time to kill, and pick ups and power ups. Which is why they called it "Old School Mode", in my opinion they should've called it "Deathmatch".

They should make a rotating mode playlist with permanent double XP to get people to play some of their most forgotten game modes

Demolition in MW3 and BO2. Chefs kiss.

Money in the Denk just HAD to be in here. What a time to be alive.

I think drop zone is still my absolute favorite mode. It's just dumb fun and allows everyone to experience all the killstreaks.

I only used old school mode to get out of bounds in cod4 lol

You talking about old-school mode and showing crossfire just brought back a memory I had as a kid I forgot entirely. My little brother, cousin, older cousin, & I would play that map and mode all the time split screen cause my older cousin loved it. I remember being really bad at it actually. My older cousin isn't around anymore unfortunately so this was really sweet to remember honestly. Thanks man have a good day.

The "Is this cool" vs "Is this fair" got very real and tugged at parts of my brain that haven't seen the light of day in a long time, 10/10 I completely agree.

The most underrated aspect of Cold War was the amount of new fun modes it had. VIP Escort, Knife Fight 3v3, Fireteam Dirt Bomb, Double Agent, Scream Deathmatch, Drop Kick etc

I like the advertisement about the game being immersive with a giant tanky hazmat guy who has damage numbers floating around him like a modded Borderlands raid boss

I really wish MW2019 had made NV versions of all of the maps,
they basically just ignored the feature when in practice it was honestly really fun since it gave you a reason to even use NV optics in a game where NV missions were a big deal in showcasing the campaign.

Bo3 uplink was also so fun 😂

I'd like to also mention OG MW3's Team Defender. It was like a big game of keep away and I played it for HOURS.

The Night Vision Realism playlist for MW was the most fun I've ever had on COD and it's a CRIME they removed it. They made an incredible videogame and then absolutely butchered it :((

11:17 I didn’t like that mode, but playing Michael Myers in a custom game with the dark mode on was sick. We had a rule that only Michael could use night vision, so you’d constantly be scared shitless trying to run away in the dark.
