A bit embarrassed to say that, despite being born and raised in America, I know little to nothing about American locomotives. So all of this was very educational and informative. I was absolutely surprised to see that the likes of Rosie and Marion were American-built.

Kinda funny how they got a climax, a notoriously slow locomotive, on the show, yet made him able to go as fast as Gordon. If the writers knew what they were doing, I’d play into Ferdinand’s real life lack of speed. Like in the episode Gordon and Ferdinand, Gordon wants to go faster to get the job over with, but Ferdinand doesn’t like getting dragged along at speeds he wasn’t designed for

AMERICUH
(Troublesome) TRUCK YEAH

14:37 I’m willing to bet the crew wanted to use a Union Pacific Big Boy, but even they realized that would’ve destroyed the loading gauge.

Ferdinand being a Shay would have pretty on-point, because then his head (or face, in his case) literally wouldn’t be on straight.

Also, you could say Hank runs on “coal and coal accessories,” to paraphrase another famous Texan of that name.

While no Climax-type locos ever ran on UK rails, a number of them were built for work for Australian logging companies; one even survives to this day, namely No. 1694, at the Puffing Billy Railway in Victoria!

Rosie’s basis made a lot of sense since her basis worked on UK and America.

19:55 THATS MY GOAT🐐‼️‼️‼️

Porter's smug look in the thumbnail reminds me of the look a cashier gives you at a fast food restaurant when you're at the front of the line and don't know what to order.

Fun fact, in the movie 1984, there's a scene where a S100 class appears pulling a train, meaning that one of Rosie's class could've worked for Big Brother.

19:41 not to mention the E2s and S100s were eventually replaced by the BR 07 diesels, which also includes 2991 aka the real Salty.

Actually we have conformation of Stanley's status thanks to an interview with Chris Awdry by SodorIslandModels.
After the mines an Cas-ny-Hawin flooded due to his failure, Stanley was never recovered or even sold for scrap. And to this day, his remains are still there...

[In Micheal Angelis's voice]:"It was an amazing day on the Island of Sodor. The birds chirped, the engines were useful, and new Unlucky Tug video released"

I can't believe Marion's basis worked at the panama canal, thats awesome.

DOING THIS WAY BEFORE THE 4TH OF JULY? THAT’S CRAZY TUG 😂

I'm most likely not the first to bring this up, but Rosie is technically a U.S. Army veteran when you think about it.

I wonder how she would interact with other wartime engines, like Neville.

What about Beau, and Vinny, and-
*Hears the gun behind me*

Great video tug!

Hank's basis, the K4 is my favorite American steam locomotive ever

Rosie would fit perfectly in the railway series canon as a station pilot and reserve engine for the Ffarquhar's Branch

6:06 ‘banished’ like they are some type of demons 😭
